Brief Video via MLB.com:

2024 Top Prospect: Robert Gasser

Anyone know of a quick way to find the MLB prospect videos for Brewer prospects? The videos like this that are prospect profiles, not the highlights videos.

They used to be easy to find on MLB.com Prospect ranking page, but now they have so many in season highlights it is harder to scan through?

6. Chourio

38. Quero

58. Black

63. Misiorowski

Lowest I've seen on Chourio in a bit. Though, they have been the outlier in that regard among the major outlets. My biggest issue though would be Crews over Chourio. If you're going to move Langford up to #2 on the basis of his 40 game sample, then how do you justify Crews over Chourio, when Chourio is more than two years younger and had better numbers in AA?

Otherwise, list looks about right.

I love our top pitching prospects!

Misio, Gasser and even C F Rod would form one hell of a rotation with Peralta and Ashby!

I feel like I keep forgetting about Ashby, any news on him this offseason. Starter or reliever path?

Great interview from Arem of Brenton Del Chiaro.

Hearing him say Joey Wiemer sent Connor Dawson tape of changes he’s made in the box this winter and people will be surprised to see them at ST has me stoked.

Also saying Sal Frelick was never fully recovered from his thumb injury last year with MKE and next year he will be fully healthy was nice to hear as well.

That's exactly what I suspected what was happening with Frelick. A thumb injury really hurts a guy who had relatively little power to begin with. Expecting a nice season from him this year.

What a great interview with Brenton Del Chiaro.

His passion, positivity is amazing, and the way he can communicate how he embraces both the old school (mechanism and production) and the new school (chase rates, exit velo) of the coaching/evaluation/development side was so interesting to hear. He seems to have a very clear, consistent message. He sounds like a great communicator if you hear him speak, and you can clearly get what he is trying to say.

"You be you" approach will be interesting to watch. For those who didn't watch the interview, the organization is essentially not messing with hitting mechanics (don't know if that applies to pitching since Brenton did not discuss that side). The argument is that players are successful to that point for a reason, and if you change it you can mess with the success. So don't make a change unless you know you can revert back is what he preached. And he also empowers the players to make changes on their own, rather than talk them into (or force them into) changes.  Could be a big boon to the system, or could be a big flop. Time will tell, but the lack of great development of hitters over the past decade or so speaks to the need for organizational change.

Oh yeah and the insights into some players like Joey Wiemer, Jackson Chourio, and even Luis Lara was pretty cool to hear. I am even more hopeful for these guys after hearing what he had to say.

Host Lindsay Crosby should be commended for being responsible for providing insights across the entire scope of the MLB prospect landscape. This is a respectable effort for one who is not laser-focused on the Brewers.

There is an audio-only option beyond YouTube available here.

Would this be enough to make him eligible for the whole, opening-day-roster-rookie-of-the-year benefit?

It should. Black will have made the Baseball America Top 100 and the Pipeline list at that point. The rule states, "Players must be Top 100 in two of the lists compiled by MLB.com, Baseball America or ESPN to qualify."
