Yeah borderline but just out. I've seen worse called strikes. Heck Angel Hernandez was worse today in the 1st inning.

I've never seen so many runners on second base not able to score on base hits in the first eight games of the season. Not saying they should've, but it's a lot.

I do actually wonder if there's some coordinated thinking to this? Like, you have a more contact-oriented offense, and you don't want to be taking chances with less than 2 outs?

A bunch of them were with 0 outs, where you just don't want to risk much of anything.  I don't remember any of them with 2 outs, where you basically send everybody.

Also, I don't remember stranding these guys at third after holding them up.
