The Brewers offense has been great since the game we went to last Saturday when they had like 2 hits in 7 innings.

A couple of weeks before that game I looked at the schedule and saw that the Brewers had a long road trip after. I thought Yount might be reaching 3000 about then and if he didn’t he’d probably get it on the road trip.

I worked for a banking organization that had about 40 season tickets that they let employees request if they weren’t being used by anyone to entertain customers. So, I put in for 4 and got some box seats not far behind the Brewers dugout.

About a week before it didn’t look he’d be getting to 3000 by then, but he suddenly got 7 hits in 4 days and was only 3 away going into a Labor Day game against the Indians. So, I went to that game where he got 2998, then again the next night where he got 2999 in the first inning, but went hitless the rest of the game.

So I went to the next game with 3 work colleagues and,, after a rain delay and two hitless ABs,  we had great seats for the big moment.

And it wasn’t long before that (maybe the year before) that we saw Nolan Ryan get his 300th win against the Brewers.

I don’t want take any credit for our offensive explosion in the last 5 games but I whined to a friend that we were having trouble scoring consistently over 3 or 4 runs……

That was right before the last Mariner game….  …..I should have done it earlier……I apologize to,the board

For those not watching/listening, before Adames' AB McCann was really giving him a lecture, twice shaking his pointed finger at his chest while they were "discussing" something...It started to get heated and the ump had to separate them, then the benches and bullpens cleared, but there was literally zero actual physical altercation other than peacekeepers chesting up the belligerents. Umps warned the benches.

Nice work!  You know what to do to if there's a slump.

My interpretation

McCann “ Hey…..when you hit a homer run…..don’t watch it”

Adames “ Go F#c# yourself……” in Spanish

McCann “ Say that me in English!”

Do you have Freddy try to go 1 more, or hand someone a 3 inning save chance?

I like Bukauskas but I’m disappointed Peralta didn’t get to continue

Looks like the stretch was Aug 2nd to 7th

Braun (25 PA), Fielder (25 PA), YUNI (24 PA), Hart (21 PA) McGehee (20 PA), Lucroy (20 PA), Tony Plush (19 PA) and Felipe Lopez (19 PA) were the mainstays with a smattering of Jerry Hairston (13 PA), Kotsay (8 PA), Cubs Manager (7 PA), Josh Wilson (5 PA), Kottaras (4 PA) and assorted pitchers mixed in.

It’s ok…..no need to stress his arm in a 10-1 game.

This recent stretch is reminding me of the beginning of the '78 season. People were hopeful that this Harry Dalton-George Bamberger thing would work out, then they went out & scored 40 runs in the first three games of the season. It was vs the O's, so maybe for oldtimes' sake, keep it going for a couple more days.

Chourio sure likes to attack that first pitch

"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

Counsell was 0-3 … batting .148 😂

That was just after his epic OHFER…0-45 from June 11th to August 3rd that year.
