Padres (Cease) vs Brewers (Miley): 4/16/24, 6:40pm

Can't win 'em all.

Tonight's matchup should be interesting. Miley is back on the bump for the Brewers while newly-acquired Dylan Cease is up for the Padres. I don't really know what to expect from Cease. He has been very good in the past but was also very mediocre for quite some time with the southsiders. Maybe a change of scenery is doing him some good.

Interesting last night in that the Brewer's offense still had pretty good at bats just with nothing to show. The Padres seemed to be the lucky ones. 

Nothing in depth, other than sometimes that's just baseball. We'll see if they can come up with a few big hits tonight.

I agree. Last night was a demonstration that if you put the bat on the ball good things can happen. Thirty-one pitches in 3 innings for Ross, then in the 4th & 5th the baseball gods threw dog poo all over his sheet cake.

Not nuts about Chourio leading off, but he seems comfortable there & as long as the bottom 3rd of the order keeps giving him baserunners, OK.
