For the short term it's fine but this roster construction isn't sustainable. There have to be some moves to come sooner than later. Very interested to see what he can do though.

I think at this point the Brewers response is that we don't believe any roster is sustainable we'll just keeping making moves... Which I think I've kind of come around to, every season too many things happen to stick to a single plan.

So say tonight, Frelick has already pinch-hit for Ortiz against a tough righty, and represents the winning run on 2nd base, with Wiemer scheduled to bat with 2 outs... Will it be Dunn, Bauers or Tyler Black pinch hitting for Wiemer?

I'm talking more like a week before something changes.

Why do I feel like this will be unpopular? (Black being sent down I mean. Yay, Yelich though!)

It probably will, but I think it's the right move if Yelich is going to be primarily playing at DH going forward. There's just not playing time there for Black if Yelich is DH'ing most days.

I assume TB will be back up in a more permanent fashion a bit later in the year when the dust settles from more moves, injuries, etc. I don't really care for the move, but I get it,

You want Black to play everyday and the others( AM and Dunn) offer more defensive versatility……which as we saw last night is important…Mono is also right handed which is a plus ……this is an easy move and the right one imo……

While of course I don't think Bauers is anythign special, I do think he's getting too much hate on here.   Have to remember doing it this way keeps your organizational depth better. If you keep Black and DFA Bauers you lose him (well I'm guessing he doesn't have options, didn't check).  This way you have both for the war of attrition that is 162 games.

No more options on Bauers. That's why I wasn't a fan of the move in the first place. However, I concede he probably gets too much hate on here. He looks like a competent at-bat and good glove at first. If he's not playing that often, he's a rosterable big leaguer, and like someone else mentioned, you want Black playing every day.
