Wonder if we'll see Carlos Rodriguez take Meyers' next scheduled turn in the rotation.

I think the most logical options are bullpen game with the off day on Thursday, C-Rod, or Ross coming off the IL. I've heard absolutely nothing about Ross since he went on the IL though.

I would like to see the Brewers start Junk on Sunday afternoon against the White Sox & save Freddy for Philly on Monday night

Or, is a win a win?

Yes … I’m not suggesting we lose

Freddy threw 111 pitches in his last start - his most ever

And, we won the series against the White Sox

And, it would be nice to win the opener Philly

But what he's saying is your last 2 points are irrelevant. A sweep of the White Sox is worth just as much (and should be MUCH easier) than beating the Phillies. Get as many wins as you can when the opportunities present themselves.

The way I look at this dilemma is whether Junk today and Peralta tomorrow gives a better chance at winning both games versus Peralta today and Junk tomorrow.

Junk isn’t fully stretched out at this point so that’s really a bullpen game and our pen is not fresh enough to do a bullpen game.

But Junk isn’t even pitching tomorrow….

Oops. Then I suppose the comparison is Junk today, pushing everyone back a day versus the status quo and Junk filling in the hole in the rotation.

I'm up for that. Myers has been uninspiring.

Blalock first please...

Curious why you’d prefer Blalock who hasn’t been great in Biloxi lately.

I would rather have CRod not take lumps in MLB and let others be the sacrificial lambs. Carlos is more of a prospect that is struggling with his 5.27ERA and 1.293WHIP in AAA. Truthfully, I feel there are not correct answers here (unless AAshby is back to form) but rather than trotting TMyers out there again and again, I would like to see what they have in the likes of Blalock and Stallings before rushing a real prospect that is not doing well.

He struggled early but has been good lately. It was said he struggled to get used to the outomatic strike zone system. The best argument for not bringing him up is needing to open up a 40 man spot for a spot start or two.

There needs to be a King Thames version of the bible.

He is coming up...I just saw that so I will cede the point. I will say that part of my point was that IF they really believed in him, they would have chosen him first of all. Since they did not, why not let him continue to develop.

But here we are in need of live arms and I wish him the very best.
