The Badgers are good enough in all areas of the game that when they shoot well enough from 3, like yesterday, they are final 4 good. This team wouldn't be able to repeat the gauntlet of teams the 2014-15 team went through to get the Final, but with a couple of fortunate bounces, this team can win their region.

A couple of fortunate bounces & some favorable matchups and yeah, it's not out of the realm of possibility. So many variables though. I guess that's what makes this such a fantastic time of year for college hoops fans. I hope starting next week, there are some advantageous matchups coming down low for Crowl. Could be an X factor.

I'll be disappointed if they don't get to the second weekend. Beyond that is frosting.

As for X factors in todays' game, Max Klesmit hasn't exactly played a ton of minutes the last three days. Maybe this is one of those games where he steps up & knocks down four or five from deep?

It's good to see the energy & contribution from the bench guys this week. What Gilmore & McGee have turned in is well-documented. But Janicki has been a disruptor & plays with confidence, and Amos is starting to contribute things even if the shot isn't falling for him, which is great to see.

That would be awesome.  I'm afraid that Klesmit might get into the "Shooters shoot and I'm going to keep shooting."  I think he has done a good job (along with timely subs) recently.  We will see.

Most every projection I have seen has us locked into a 3 seed regardless of result today.

I have a feeling they will be in Milwaukee if they win and somewhere else if they lose.  I would be surprised if they get a 2.

Could be wrong, but everything I know about the selection committee suggests that today's result will ZERO bearing on where the Badgers are bracketed. Just not enough time to build a contingency bracket that only changes where one 3-seed is playing.

Now, there is probably a contingency bracket pending the UAB-Memphis game. That result will impact where the Badgers are (potentially anyway) more than their own.

"Gosh dang it!!!! Whaddya mean tired legs? We used to play in a fastpitch league on Friday night, go out & drink beer, and THEN travel to a weekend tournament!!!!"

Both teams look really gassed, obviously. If Wolf & Goldin continue to be meh, maybe this WILL be a day Amos or even Ilver can get enough minutes to shine. I like that we're at least not ignoring trying to get into the lane.

I love how we scored 23, Michigan 21, but "Michigan is playing suffocating defense", or whatever the talking head said.

Good job getting to the box and drawing fouls in the second half.

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

So, probably a 3 seed with a win today and a 4 with a loss?

No team who they're competing with for a 3-seed made their conference championship game.  A coupe of them got bounced during the quarterfinals of their conference tournaments.

They posted Crowl early...not sure why they aren't going back given their offensive struggles.  Shake it up.

Always a good idea to go inside-out. I think there have been situations this year when Crowl could slide down later in the clock. But most of the threes were pretty good looks. They're also real super-cognizant of keeping the lane open for Blackwell & Tonje, I'm sure that has something to do with it.

Both teams lost their legs sometime during their last game, so the poor shooting wasn't some kind of huge shock. Michigan made a few deep ones in the last 10 min or so, Wolf dug down for a little extra, and we didn't have enough to respond.

No big complaints, except maybe with the basketball gods w/around a minute-and-change to go when Michigan had the ball on their end for about nine days before finally scoring. Some really solid defense, but every ball goes out off us, and it sucked but every call was correct. Especially the time we pried one loose, It goes to Blackwell, Wolf knocks it away but OF COURSE it touches Blackwell last. Frustrating.

Very impressive tourney run.

Yeah, I think it's been a long time since they've had to 'compete' for a 3, with the possible exception being had they lost to NU last Thursday. And even then..........
