Love getting off of work after a long day watching the Brewers getting their butt handed to them 😌

Yep. The soft underbelly of small market teams is depth. We don't have much.

This exactly right.

The last week plus has not been very encouraging.

Last comment I would make about this injury riddled team....awful.  Depth everywhere.

It's not really fair because it's not entirely their fault, but having two AAA players (at best) at 8 and 9 really hurt. Would rather break it up with Monasterio in one of these spots if Haase must catch.

Before the recent West Coast series, I feared we'd start to wear down before the all-star break, and we're definitely looking like we may do that. Injuries, overreliance on the bullpen, batting with RISP, and some other small things are costing us at the moment. I do hope I'm wrong and they go on a run.

Also, I've seen enough of Vinny Capra already. I want Monasterio. I can't believe I typed that sentence. Maybe even Frelick at third.

I will take Sal there any day.

Until he looks like Braun.  If he could play there, they would play him there.

Capra has been there to be a warm body until he can be DFA'ed when so and so comes off the IL. Problem is, he's been seeing way too many at bats; same with Haase.

Pittsburgh gave MKE a taste of their medicine with their "starter" tonight and Murphy bit on it and batted Haase for some unknown reason. He should be seeing about one or two starts a week. Tops. To have him and Capra back-to-back in so many games is a bit of a head-scratcher other than they're just trying to get guys added rest with the break.

If it makes you feel better, this is the first game I've decided to make it out to in 5 years and this is what I get.

All star break with a 2 game lead is going to hit different.

Yeah it is.  Considering the holes that need filling I hope they stay cautious at the deadline.

This team has some serious “2014 Brewers” vibes. If they just play .500 here on out they’d win 88-89 games and are likely a lock for the division (Cardinals would have to play .555 baseball just to tie), yet with the last week or so it just seems like 2014 and they’re going to agonizingly fritter away a golden opportunity

lets hope they have the lead because the Pen in showing cracks becaused of lack of quality starters. they are missing at least one bat at 3rd would be nice and another starter who they can trust. Matt Arnold needs to go shopping
