Looking at about a dozen games today and the Braves, Cubs  and White Sox are the only teams that had a lead-off hitter with an OPS under .700,  The VAST majority of those were well above .700.

Turang's baserunning isn't accounted for in OPS.  Not saying that is enough to say he should be abtting 1st, but it is a significant part of his offensive game that should eb planned around.

We have a plethora of real outfielders and somehow we are running Bauers out in left?

Which is severely impacted by his plummeting OBP which is a primary factor in OPS.

It has nothing to do with his hitting (which isn't really much better than the other options), it has to do with him being a terrible fielder.

I know, that's why it was in blue.

Oooh, Cubs get Paredes from the Rays.

That's going to be interesting watching his profile in Wrigley. His power is going to be very dependent on which way the wind is blowing.

What an odd addition to a last place team

Its about next year but I thought it was a shrewd move.

Really don't like Ortiz samurai setup.

Way too much movement to get the bat to the proper launch point.

The barrel of a bat has to move an awful long distance and get settled as your stepping and doing that you're inducing a lot of angular momentum

I guess the offense has its one big swing for the game.  Now its up to the pitching staff to hold it down.
