Wed. 8/21 - Return of the Fantastic Four: It's All Full-Season Affiliated Ball from Here

T-Rats have had runners in scoring position 24 times. Three hits. You want to look at reasons should they cough this one up. Look absolutely no further. Pitching staff has 22 K's. You're manufacturing that type of opportunity. Tough tough look.

Yup. A 1-run lead was not enough. Sheesh. A single up the middle and it's 4-4. A runner on 1st, and only 1 out. Figueroa at 50 pitches.

My gods. What an exemplary loss. Double ripped deep to the wall. Perez absolutely got there. Pratt bobbled the relay it would appear. Never even a throw home. No direct look at the play but Pratt was out in that grass and the announcer said the relay was bobbled. UGH.

These last two weeks of Brewers Minor League baseball have been what they might call a 'challenge'. Pratt had plenty of time to make that play and it definitely would have been close. Never even got a throw off. There are no words.

walk off. T-Rats lose. Figueroa did not have it. And the offense could not get the extra run.

Tough loss.

Nice swing but  a belt high inside off-speed pitch. Perez had good action and got there quickly. Pratt bobbled and lost the relay throw. Never even made a throw home and it absolutely would have been close.

Yeah nice hit by the batter and the relay was lost. But Figueroa was wild in the 11th, and gave up some hard hits in the 12th. Needed some zero in extras. Even with the runs in extras, just felt like they needed to score more.

Tough way to end a not so great night for the affiliates. And no DSL box scores to soothe the soul.

Good night all. Good night @Joseph Zarr

It was a pleasure to endure that side-by-side. Well, maybe not a pleasure BUT it was really nice to have a co-pilot. Thanks for chiming in my friend.

I know some have been pining for Wande Torres info based on his numbers and looks like Brewers PD and @Spencer Michaelis have delivered. BrewersPD seems to confirm Wande Torres was brought stateside post DSL season. 95-97 with that arm angle seems like about as good of a chance of being an MLB RP someday as any pitcher leaving the DSL.

Far be it for me to question the validity of Spencer's reports, but I have a hard time believing a 19-year-old lefty is throwing 95+ with that easy delivery in that non-tall frame. If that's accurate?? Whoa.

In other news, Dinges is my new favorite to outplay expectations. I think that the Brewers found a less-heralded, less-scouted gem --- especially if they can teach him to catch.

The angle of the video doesn’t make him look it, but he is listed at 6-3. That’s at least fairly tall.

Nice to see Brewers PD highlighting another one of 'my guys' in OF Frandy Lafond. I repeatedly mentioned him in my reports. He just kept showing up.

I mentioned in another topic a while ago, but LaFond was one that I was specifically told to keep an eye on back in spring. I think he could be a pretty quick riser. I love his swing.

I was able to find some video on his Instagram highlights where you can actually see the readings from the pitches. The two you can see show 96 and 97.on the fastball. It's definitely a bit shocking given how simple it looks, but he reminds me a bit of Jared Koenig in that the rotation is insanely fast while everything else looks smooth and "slow".

Edit: It will be the second "slide" on there that you can see some of the readings.

Remarkable. Another exciting riser in the system.

All of this on Frandy and Wandy are helping me to recover from last night. Thank you

The two nearly back to back bullpen breakdowns in both the High A and MLB games (sigh) have left me a little wanting of something good.

Either was T-Rats, Mudcats and the big boy Brewers have had a great season so far. And looks like more young men (boys?) who can join them in the next few years. Exciting times here at BF.net .... sorry brewerfanatic.com
