Someone observed the paucity of Black taking full hacks. I fear that in the minors he can get by with fouling off close strikes to stay in the AB, taking his walks, and waiting for a mistakes, but that the mistakes in the bigs are few and far between.

Or in some cases or most cases in MLB, he's just not hitting them (or even swinging at them).

It doesn't help when strike 1 and strike 2 are very hittable pitches... and he watches them go by.

I think Black needs to be more aggressive at the plate. He seems a little "star struck" to me.

Man, I'm the one in the IGT who asked if Black ever takes a full swing... But I'm just commenting because paucity is an awesome word. Adding it to my vocab, appreciate you.
