I know it's obviously coincidental, but this is probably the 5th GT in the last month where everyone gushing about Montas was immediately followed by a bad inning for him.

Great outing by Montas except for one pitch to Harper. The pitch Castellanos hit out wasn't even a bad pitch. 

He's earned a start in one of the two  guaranteed WC games imo.

It's fine as long as you're going to limit him to 5 innings and not try to push him a 3rd time through the order.

Montas is so weird.   He looks great just blowing my people away but by the end of the game he has 4.5 era.     I’d still start him in playoffs but you need to take him out after five.   Even if he’s shutting someone out

His ERA at the trade was around 5. He's been much better with us.

Brewers starters 2 times through the order in this series - 10 IP, 8 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 14 SO

Brewers starters 3rd time through the order in this series - 0.2 IP, 5 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 2 SO

Basically what we already knew. Our starters cannot see the order a 3rd time in the playoffs. The pen being in shambles forced the hand in these games but come the playoffs we cannot let them see the order a 3rd time.
