Washington really hit a home run with Daniels.

He has kind of a Mahomes air about him

As long as they don’t run him into the ground like RG111. Always worried about running qb’s and their longevity in the league.

I remember when he was on ASU and UW played them in a bowl game after the 2021 season.  Daniels went 11-21, 159 yards, 0 TD, 1 INT.  For the season he completed 65% of his passes with 10 TDs and 10 INTs.  That was his junior year, 3rd year as a starter.

Reminder that it often takes several years to develop as a QB, and that the system and supporting cast plays a big role as well.  We shouldn't judge QBs as finished products after their sophomore years.

I'm almost certain Detroit is winning the NFC, which I don't like, but I guess we're down to Minnesota and Detroit being 2/5 outcomes so Minnesota losing is good.

I was indifferent about the Eagles until the viral douchebag from yesterday harassing that poor girl.

I'd like to see anyone in the AFC take it this year. Buffalo is my top choice. The Rams or Commanders would be fine but I don't see it happening.

I think the Vikings brass is reconsidering keeping Darnold. He's been pretty bad in the two most important games of the year.

If they go out quietly tonight he's gone, which IMO is the correct call. They could tag him as an insurance policy, but that has drawbacks too.

As a Packers fan, I would love them to commit to him. He's not going to do anything long term.

Well I predicted in like week 9 the Vikings wouldn't make the playoffs, was wrong, but they may as well not have, especially after winning 14 games.

Imagine 14-3 and not getting a home game. Then getting crushed. It's terrible and delicious all at once.

I'm just hoping that a team that has never won it before, finally wins the Super Bowl.  Especially now that my team is out of it.

I'd be fine with the Lions winning it, in fact, I'm hoping they do now that the Vikings appear to be done.

I'd be extra happy with the Bills or Texans winning it, especially if that means the Chiefs don't.

I am rooting against two teams, the Chiefs and the Eagles.  After that, I don't care all that much, but like I said above, let it be a team that hasn't won it before...

The Lions are a douchey team. All the bravado, yelling in guy's faces after the game. I get they are this lovable loser team from a blue collar town or whatever, but I'm over it. They can lose another 50 years as far as I'm concerned.

The Chiefs are benign. Another title won't hurt anything. It's boring, but I don't have any ill will.

Buffalo would be my favorite. The Eagles, as I said, didn't care until that video went viral. Rams or Commanders are fine but they won't win. Ravens, really anyone in the AFC is fine.

Clock approaching midnight on Darnold and the Viqueens...

Wonder what the Vikings cap situation is for next year.

$57M in effective cap space.

But 22 free agents - Cam Robinson, Sam Darnold, Byron Murphy, Stephone Gilmore, Aaron Jones, Dalton Risner, Cam Akers, Camryn Bynum.

They have a solid cap situation besides the fact they have a ton of free agents not counting toward their 2025 roster budget...and the fact they have to decide whether or not to overpay to keep Darnold around or let their 1st round QB from last year take over with zero NFL experience.

The Vikings continue to field an "in between" roster that both isn't bad enough to tear down/rebuild and isn't good enough at key spots to win in January.

Aaaaannnddd the Viqueens trophy case is still empty.

That sort of gives me closure on the 2024 season. I can live with the Lions winning a Super Bowl but not the Vikings. Frauds. I knew it!

They won't keep Darnold. I think they'd be crazy to do that. You drafted a guy in the top 10.

Only way it happens is if nobody is really interested in Darnold and he comes in way less than expected, or they tag him.

Yes, maybe they would be better off bringing in Rodgers for a year, we know how they love ex Packers, but they have too much invested in McCarthy to let him sit next year. Someone will give Darnold second tier starter money and the Vikes can't do that.

I tend to agree on the Darnold decision, but either way I think the vikes are set for a big step back next year.

I don't see how Flores doesn't get a head coaching gig somewhere else this offseason.

They overachieved this year but it's similar to Alex Smith in KC. You have to make the move and hope McCarthy can play. You can't pay two starting QBs. I agree though that I think they regress, I never thought they were that great this year, yes they won 14 games but they were eeking a lot of them out and the eye test just wasn't very convincing. They have the names on paper, but Philly/Det when healthy were a lot more intimidating.

I am not sure what team is going to pay big money for Darnold though. I don't think he's going to get a huge contract.

Apparently, the Eagles have banned the fan that berated a female Packer fan from Lincoln Financial Field for life and as of now are unconfirmed reports that he has been fired by his employer. Ironically, he works (or worked) for a DEI-focused management consulting firm in East Brunswick, New Jersey.
