This is a new thing we'll be doing on the forums. It's a fun little game where once a week, we post a player and you try to guess who it is. This is part of a push to offer more ways to interact with the site. This is the first (tiny) piece of the puzzle with more stuff launching around Opening Day and throughout the season.

Let me know if you have suggestions how to improve it!

Kevin Seitzer?

That was my exact thought. But then I realized I have no idea what Seitzer looked like, as back then I only listened on the radio.

It’s from old County Stadium. The cursive B in Brewers on the jersey implies it was taken between 1990 and 1992.

Sadly, the first image when you search Kevin Seitzer and Brewers is the above photo. So for this to work the images probably have to be harder to find. Otherwise when you search for batting stances of players from the era it’s an easy giveaway.

I don't create these images but I will pass along this information. Thanks for letting me know.

I think the point of this is guessing without researching. It would be like playing immaculate grid with baseball-reference pulled up on the side. Kind of defeats the purpose of the whole thing.

I’m here to see if we can play this game without devolving into a debate about payroll flexibility 🙂

Hi there. I wonder who you're referring to. Hmmm.....? 🤔 Lol.

If saying what I mean, and meaning what I say makes me a "bad" person, then so be it. It's impossible to make everyone happy.

Ok. What’s fun about making a random guess after looking at a picture of a player with no face, number or logo on the uniform? For example, if you blocked out the face on the image below, nobody would get it right, because it could literally be almost anyone.

I will go with Bill Spiers. Bill Spiers and George Canale looked almost alike. I think Spiers wore the gold chains.

I thought the batting stance was a good enough clue....and body shape, era, etc.

People should only get 1 choice. Not 2,3,4,5,etc. Lol. Everyone would guess right eventually, then.

I did guess once. I guessed Bill Spiers. You realize I quoted from a different picture, right?  There are 2 different photos in this thread. I know its hard.... try to keep up.
