Not the cleanest inning by Fitzpatrick as a few extra base hits, and 2 runs in but gets the last out.

Shuckers win it 10-4.

ACL Brewers still up huge, looks like a Quero homer, and Mercedes 3.1 IP, and 8 of those 10 outs were Ks.

Quezada comes in to get 2 more Ks.

In teh Complex is it known in advance if it will be 7 or 9 inning games?

And can it be changed during the game?

I wonder if this 12-2 lead after 4 will be called at 7 innings? Either way I will read about it tomorrow, and enjoy/savor the Shuckers 6th straight win. Gotta factor in the HRs by the three big young bats (Pratt, Wilken and Adams) in that write up tomorrow.

So Roderick Flores is supposedly in the ACL game. That makes sense that he is actually in Arizona not in Nashville.

I see he walked

(on down to Memphis?)

Yeah. Weird. Minor Leagues always have to Minor Leagues across so many facets of, well, Minor Leagues.

This ACL Brewers team has me unreasonably excited. WHY do the youngest players give me so much hope?! I am ready to be hurt again.

That 17 K to 2 BB ratio through eight innings between Mercedes, Quezada & Dorchies is pretty zesty.

Of course it’s the ACL so Mercedes mixed in a couple WP and an HBP too, but either way that K/BB might be more impressive than the run scoring onslaught.

Because they haven't been around long enough to see their flaws

I know pretty much nothing about Dorchies, but man for someone who doesn't turn 19 until late October, his 6'5 frame looks very well filled out.

He struck out the side to end it. 4.0 IP. 1 H. 9K.

Definitely not the wiry thin kid we saw on the draft clips last summer. That young man put in some capital Work. You love to see it.

20 strikeouts to 2 walks for the ACL Crew today...That's just absurd.

It really is flat remarkable for a collection of arms that young in that environment. What a far cry from last May! 😂

The Crew have the largest run margin by essentially double the next team. They have scored more than 20 runs than the next offense. 😂

ACL Crew, Carolina, and Biloxi are just dominating their leagues offensively

In the offseason there was a really well done series of articles here about which system had the best teenage talent.

I think that series is down to a single paragraph if he writes it now.

Apparently the 17-3 shellacking the T-Rats suffered in their home series opener has crippled the T-Rats media team. They are usually right up with all their media bits. THey haven't posted a single thing as of yet. I need them to get that out there so I can submit this report. 😂

Oh man...I just noticed that Aquino is listed as the SP for Wisconsin tomorrow. Originally it was Bishop Letson. I hope Letson isn't hurt.

Would have saved me some time 🙂

I haven't calculated everything, but given the raw numbers, there is a chance this pitching staff is top three in the league in both strikeout and walk rate (and after last night Dorchies is tops among ACL qualifiers in FIP).

Even more impressive, Mercedes home run was at least to a bona fide big name bat in that class. Emil Morales has an 1.169 OPS on the DSL last season with 14 home runs in 152 at bats

They were too busy getting warmed up to have to pitch in the 9th inning 🙄
