That’s it for me today. I will check the score in an hour or so. Looks like I’m not alone … almost no activity in the game threads recently. This team is hard to watch in its current make up.

Murphy hasn’t had a great month of May. Very few of his in game pitching changes have ended well. Mears was awful in his brief time on the mound today. We no longer have the lead.

I can hardly blame Mears for this one. The arms of our relievers are about to fall off.

Mears has given up runs in four out of his last five appearances.

And as far as I'm concerned it's Murphy's fault as much as anyone's.

He is a big failure at managing pitching staffs and that's the most important job a manager has in the MLB these days.

Sorry for my ignorance, as I haven't been around much this season.
But do I understand correctly that we have  "OK to a little better than OK" starting pitching, but No credible offense and No reliable bullpen?

We have a mediocre team top to bottom & our manager has made numerous poor decisions that have burned out a decent bullpen

Chourio is bad. Pitchers don’t have to throw him strikes to get him to swing (he unloaded on a pitch so far inside it almost hit him). The 60 million dollars they owe him is sure looking like less and less of a bargain

We are already paying the price of Murphy consistently yanking starters that are pitching well at 80 or less pitches. There have been so many games where we could have gotten an inning or two more out of the starter.

He's young and needs a professional hitting coach not the hacks we have on this overmatched coaching staff.

The millisecond after Kevin Seitzer was let go by the braves he should have had a contract offer from the Brewers for whatever he wanted to be hitting coach.

I said that the moment I heard Atlanta stupidly let him go.

So Pittsburgh failed to score more than four runs for 26 straight games coming into this series, a major league live ball record, and has accomplished that feat 3 of 4 games against us.

Come on, you can do better than this. If some dudes watching on TV can see pitchers aren’t throwing him at strikes because he’s overly aggressive and swings at everything, I am 100% the coaches and manager has told him the same. For a teacher to effective the pupil needs to be willing to learn.

What exactly does this team do well because I see nothing other than decent starting pitching which is wasted when the idiot manager pulls them early nearly every game.

He's young and improved all of last season. Yes a hitting coach can help and in this case hurt a young player.

Are you sure about that? Because I'm not.

Remember in 2018 when we were swept by Pittsburgh in a five game series and then nearly made it to the World Series? 🤷‍♂️

We are more likely to lose 90 games this season.
