DSL Gold tied up at one each through five.

Aldrin Gonzalez started with three scoreless innings of 1 H | 0 BB | 3 K work while Gustavo Garcia has followed recording four of his six outs via K.

It seems Tanner Gillis might be dealing with something considering he didn’t start last week and he’s not listed as one of the starters for this week for Wisconsin.

Indeed he is, fine fellow. He and Rund were both placed on the T-Rats' 7-Day IL Sunday June 8th. I got the alert while I was at the Spokane Indians vs Hillsboro Hops game down in Spokane.

I see we hadn't entered it in the ML Transaction thread. I just updated that.

RHP Hayden Robinson was just taken off the IL. It certainly appears everything is going as planned and he will get his first inning back from TJ! I needed this. I really did. 😅

Man the Wisconsin and Carolina pitching staffs are looking extremely thin right now. Carolina has 13 healthy pitchers. Wisconsin has 12 healthy pitchers.

It's been a brutal stretch. No doubt about it. AND, man they've been battling despite all the injuries. Wisconsin taking 4-of-6 vs the Kernels was absurdly impressive.

The DSL Brewers Blue were knotted 4-4 after five frames. They head to the bottom of the 8th trailing 14-4. The word we use here is: Yikes!

Baseball America has a chat going on right now and it sure looks like we are insane around here. Almost every question is Brewer related, and he hasn't answered mine...

Man I wonder when the last time both of our DSL teams were below .500 at the same time.

Very slow starts for our three biggest bonuses of the IFA class. Fenelon is leading the way with a .506 OPS, Antunez is at a .451 OPS, and Acosta still has yet to get his first pro hit starting the year 0-25 with a .074 OPS.

The Sounds gained 2.5 G on the International League leading Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs - they remain 4.5 GB with 12 to play. Yet, the Carolina Mudcats saw their divisional lead whittled down to 1.0 G with their recent tough Home series and a very hot Lynchburg Hillcats team. OH, and the Muddies will take that slim lead to Lynchburg this week. It goes without saying: major divisional implications on the line. I think the Muddies 'should' aim for a series split. Anything better? Gravy. Anything worse? 😬

Meanwhile, the Timber Rattlers, after their surprising 4-2 series win vs second place Cedar Rapids, have suddenly gained 3 G on first place Quad Cities - losers of five straight. They are now a mere 4.0 GB with 12 to play. Incredible. And, the Biloxi Shuckers really paved the way toward a divisional first half win and a playoff berth with last week's 5-1 Home series tally vs Montgomery. The Biscuits are now tied with Pensacola for second place. They remain 6.0 GB with 12 games to play. I can taste that Shuckers first half title but they are not out of the proverbial woods yet. Still work to do.

At 18-10, the ACL Brewers lead their division by 1.0 G over the ACL Angels. They trail the League leading ACL Giants by 2.5 G.

AAA Nashville (38-24) plays at Orioles’ affiliate Norfolk (24-38) this week and welcomes recently-claimed CF Drew Avans (.858 OPS with 16 SBs in 222 PAs in the Pacific Coast League) to the top of the lineup. LHP Bruce Zimmermann looks to build on a solid last start (5.1 IP, 1 R, 3 H, 1 BB, 6 Ks).

This is indeed interesting inquiry! But I would like to casually point out, the DSL Brewers Gold have lost four of their five games by a combined five runs. I tend to believe they are the squad with a bit more luck in their bag. And, I certainly do hope it is true.

AA Biloxi (35-22) battles Reds’ affiliate Chattanooga (28-25) on the road this week, with 1B Luke Adams coming in with a 6-game hitting streak and 30-game on-base streak. RHP Brett Wichrowski (3.04 ERA, 1.39 WHIP, 8.0 K/9 in 23.2 IP) makes his 7th start of 2025.

Man, the Sounds have fast become a realllllly good and reallllllly deep veteran Triple-A ball club. They have a number of horses on that squad. Here's hoping Zimmerman gives us another solid outing. He was really good last week. He has yet to really stack success in 2025, however. Hopefully, that was the start of a mini run for him.

OF Adam Hall certainly didn't wow at Nashville but he is returning to Biloxi coming off improved play of late. He looked a bit like a fish out of water early. By the time he was re-assigned he looked like he belonged as a Nashville bench player or fill-in starter. More importantly, my personal opinion is he is an improvement over Vargas and Resituyo in LF. I'm hoping he hits the ground running and takes the re-assignment with aplomb.

Lynchburg graces us with zero audio and the sole camera behind home plate. Good grief. Payne K'd swinging helplessly at consecutive off-speed pitches. Two down.

Peña singles (who else?) and takes 2B on a SB in an 0-2 count to Bitonti who also K's on what also looked like an off-speed offering. No audio. Yeesh. No likey.

Di Turi botches a grounder to his glove side (I think it's Di Turi - no audio). He went to make the turn and throw to 1B and the ball left his glove. Man on via error - knowing ML scorers they'll credit a single. It's what they do.

Runner easily steals 2B on Walther (who really does not possess a strong arm - this being said that was a good jump and an off-speed pitch). 2-2 count now. Hernandez will have to dig deep. That was a costly error. Lotta pitches being spent as a result of the botched gather.
