Burnes+Hader 2021 doesnt count I suppose

Burnes pitched 8 innings. This game still has 3 innings to go.....

Cute … but everyone (including you) knows it was a bad decision … the wrong decision

We’re all experts in hindsight. There was the possibility that he would still be unhittable with a pitch count at 80

He wasn't going to finish the game regardless.  It was a stupid decision and served no purpose letting him go back out there.  Had his pitch count been lower, and there was even a remote shot at a perfect game, then fine, but that wasn't the case.

It was a long shot but still a shot, we were up 8 runs. It’s no big deal, I am sure they asked him how he felt about it.

No, I don't know it. What I do know is I've never seen a greater overreaction on this board than I have tonight.

No, it doesn't.

I mean I guess you're entitled to your opinion. However wrong I may think you are doesn't matter.

Agree to disagree and all that

And your point is? But whatever. This is not worth wasting energy over.

I think Murphy's job as a manager goes beyond wins and losses. He is a leader and moves like this do not show leadership skills. I don't even think he is a bad manager. This was just a dumb move.

I digress. Agree to disagree. Enjoy the game

Agree to disagree and all that

How many pitchers are used to preserve a no hitter until it's unimpressive? There have been up to five and maybe six to accomplish that in the past. Would you say that's impressive? If you need to bring in a fresh arm, then no, I don't consider that impressive. But like you said, agree to disagree.

Looks like they've corrected Ortiz hand position.

Looks like he ditched the samurai setup and starting with his hands much closer to the proper launch point and bat angle

I’m ok with Murphy if he just screams at every ump calling them “cheating mfrs” every game from here on out

The point is that 9 outs without a hit are much less likely than 3 outs so worrying about a combined no hitter shouldn't be on any managers mind.

I pretty much NEVER agree with HD, but he is spot on here.  It's hard to believe how fast the zeitgeist switched from "how can you pull him????" to "How can you leave him in???"  Good lordl

The Minnesota ballpark looks like a good place to see a game.

It really is. That whole right field area is nice to hang out. I love downtown ballparks. Went to a game in SF last week. My favorite park of all.

250/308/313/620 in June. Still far from good but finally some improvement

Not sure I understand what you just typed

Please feel free to be forthright & direct
