Brewers at Mariners; Wednesday, July 23 @ 2:40 p.m.: Quinn Priester (3.33 ERA, 3.96 FIP) vs. Luis Castillo (3.21 ERA, 3.72 FIP)

This team reminds me of the Cardinals teams when they were winning with players like Skip Schumacher.  Those teams were annoying and had no business being as good as they were.  Maybe the Brewers can do a 2011 Cardinals season.

Is today the day we finally get a Myers appearance?

Should be. Hopefully

Or maybe more Mears! There's never enough Mears! -Murphy (probably)

Cub fans have to absolutely despise scoreboard watching and seeing this lineup playing at over a 0.900 winning percentage clip for weeks at a time.

Just fantastic

I don't think our exit velocity is high enough today and Seattle committed an error, so they will say this is a cheap and lucky win.

Not sure why we need to use Ashby in an 8 run game.  Use Myers or send him back down.  Pen gets used enough as it is, can’t operate a guy short essentially.

We’ve basically been running a 12 man staff since Zastryzny went down. Makes little sense

Edit: good to see Myers getting loose now

Agreed. I'd rather we have Peguero/McGee up for mop up duty if Myers cant get innings in an 8-2 win

No, he was on paternity leave the 11th-14th.  He’s pitched twice since then and was just warming up in the pen.  Glad they sat him down and are using Meyers.

I thought that is what they just said.

3 days per childbirth?  Seems like a roster loophole the brewers could exploit.

How many times has Ashby been on paternity leave this season?  Three?!?!

Nick Cannon would have missed entire seasons.

The recent Nashville Sounds version of Tobias Myers was as close as we saw him to his best 2024 version. He was dialed in. That version of Tobias is an absurd luxury to have for bullpen mop-up duty. Love this pitching staff. Truly love this pitching staff.

Looking at that Brewers box score is like looking at a recent Brewers DSL box score where every Brewers has at least one poke. Glorious

Greedy, but this is almost a bummer. Likely we take 12 of our last 13 and missed the Webb special by a 1-0 loss. Ouch.

Meh.  11 more to go.
