When the Chicago Tribune takes note of the Illinois native even when he plays for the "rival" Brewers, that's impressive.

This feature article focuses on Adamczewski's mindset but is very much worth the one dollar it'll take to get a year-long subscription, whether you then immediately drop it or set a reminder to do so.

One tip - I was able to do a print from my desktop browser within the first few seconds before the paywall prompts, you have to be very quick. Take that, technology!

Congrats to Burke!  Struggling a bit lately but overall has had a nice year in high-A.  Does this mean Andrew Fischer to Appleton?

Seems logical.

T-Rats line-up at the moment is pretty bad.  Take out Jadher, and now Burke and there isn't  anything there to be too excited about.  Eduardo Garcia is having a nice year, but that really is it.

Was hoping we'd start getting an infusion of hitters from Carolina after the deadline settled...

Move up the Mudcat studs now

Are any of them currently playing well enough to move them up?

Something has to give though.  I doubt the T-Rats will be left with this putrid line-up the rest of the season.

Should be back soon. Here's him hitting a no doubter in Bridge League today

That was beautiful.

Dinges, Adamczewski, and Fischer in Appleton, please.

Get Handelfrey in Carolina with Made and Pena.

Marco Dinges is confident and capable:

Marco Dinges is a Top 5 Brewers prospect. I will pound this gavel until the fans wake up to what we truly have here. No player in the system, not a single One, has touched the season Dinges has had on both sides of the diamond. Adamczewski is a close second with the bat. Wilken, Peña and Adams nip at his heels. Dinges is in a 2025 tier all by himself. The aura absolutely drips when he plays.

What I’ve been calling “Extended Summer Ball” is actually the “Bridge League”:

I am absolutely thrilled to see a line up with Fischer and Dinges as a one-two punch. When Josh inevitably gets called up there we may be looking at our own brief version of the first half Whitecaps trio. At least we can dream on that possibility.

I might have to make the three hour drive from Eau Claire to watch that trio.  Imagine Made and Pena in that lineup eventually too.  Now that would be fun!

Love the enthusiasm @Joseph Zarr.

You called Adamczewski last season or in the offseason this year, and Dinges early on this year.

Are you claiming Fischer before any of us get to see him play 😂

Hey I am calling MaKale Holden - watched a couple of his interviews and his smile is big time and seems down to earth ready to work.  But my track history is not as great as yours as Cornielle is good but never been elite. Holden has some big tools pitching wise, but needs command and refinement - anyone know an organization that has a history of developing pitching that way 😉

AA Biloxi have a healthy first baseman(!) and it’s none other than newly-promoted Blake Burke (.783 OPS in 408 High-A PAs). RHP Alexander Cornielle (3.59 ERA, 1.31 WHIP, 9.0 K/9 in 87.2 IP) starts at Pensacola, with the Shuckers trailing 3-1 in the series.

Down 3 games to 1 at Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, it looks like a bullpen game for AAA Nashville tonight as LHP Josh Maciejewski (5.17 ERA in 47 AAA/AA IP) starts despite pitching 2 innings on Wednesday. That’s also the last time we saw Bobby Dalbec in the lineup. 2B Ray Delgado has an .842 OPS in his last 84 PAs.

Well, I give tid bits when they are in the Complex and DSL - ie 'we may want to watch for this...'. I did it with Adams. I did it with Adamczewski. I also did it with Tyler Rodriguez 😅. SO, until I see them play...I don't let the Hype Train leave the station. You could tell within one or two games Dinges' bat and bat speed were different than anyone on that 2024 roster. The defensive progress this season has been astounding. You could also tell the same with Admaczewski. Despite his early exit with freak injury last season that bat and swing was legitimately apparent in his first Carolina AB. It is different. That Fischer clip? He obviously has elite short swing bat speed. That type of approach is going to get to a lot of pitches. We still need to see him play. However, we've also had an entire season of college baseball. Given he'll go to High-A, our expectations 'should' be higher.

Despite dropping 3 straight, Low-A Carolina lead their division by 2 games and have exceptional 18-year old RHP Ethan Dorchies (1.40 ERA, 0.92 WHIP, 10.5 K/9 in 51.1 ACL/Low-A IP) starting at Augusta tonight. The young Mudcats have drawn the most walks (529) in the 12-team Carolina League (464 second place).

1 - Pena - 2B
2 - Made - SS
3 - Bitonti - DH
4 - Anderson - CF
5 - Di Turi - 3B
6 - Rodriguez - LF
7 - Walling - 1B
8 - Ibarguen - RF
9 - Walther - C
X - Dorchies - P

With a depleted lineup, I’m asking LHP Sam Garcia (4.09 ERA, 1.36 WHIP, 9.7 K/9 in 72.2 High-A/Low-A IP) and rehabbing MLB OF Steward Berroa to step up at tonight for High-A Wisconsin, as they seek a 3-2 home series lead over Lake County.

Eric Bitonti watched 3 called strikes to end the top of the 1st inning and was promptly sent back to the hotel by Christian Miranda.

Both pitchers are perfect thru 2 innings, with 25 of 35 pitches going for strikes.

A walk and 2 singles (Delgado, Zamora) produced no runs for the Sounds in the 2nd inning. EMJ’s in a 1-for-21 rut.

But Maciejewski has made it thru 2 innings unscathed (28 pitches). 0-0 game near Scranton.
