He got in trouble and pitched his way out. Didn't give up a run. In my book, that's good.

The ONLY thing that complicates this is that tonight is the night you'd rather have Freddy go 7 and give up 2 or 3.

I know Bauers was obviously fine tonight, but the way this organization seems to treat his roster spot as if he’s a necessary part of the machine kind of makes me chuckle. We went like freaking 30-8 without him, or whatever it was. Clearly he is not quite an integral, crucial fabric in the construction of this team. The irony will not be missed if we go like 12-18 with him back.
