Kicking it into the endzone when touchbacks start at the 35 twice in a game when you almost never used to do it when touchbacks came out to the 25 is… interesting.

This one was an FU to the coverage unit worrying that we give up a home run

Love is a good QB. Good enough to win a Super Bowl, with the right supporting cast.

But he still misses too many throws to be considered a great QB.

Precisely. Taking the big play off the table.

Anyway, I think the corners technically are a weak link. But it's one you can mask. I think the weak link will show itself to be both interior lines. They have struggled a bit running inside, and have not really been tested defensively there.

Nice kick by McManus to atone for his doink and salvage that drive.

And on that possession, I had to shake my head and laugh. It really is Green Bay tradition: quarterbacks, regardless of their experience level or savvy, will take deep shots at really inopportune moments. You kind of just have to live with it, I guess.

I probably would have gone for it from that distance but that should officially put things out of reach.

See now here I would have done exactly what they did and kicked it. Not that they were likely to come back from 2 possessions but 3 makes it pretty much academic.

Oh I would kick it. Just not from 56.

are the kicking balls juiced this year?

I don’t know if their faith in their coverage unit is just completely shot as others said, but they are going to have to figure it out. You can’t just concede a 65 yard field all season.

Rodgers learned under Favre, Love learned under Rodgers.

Well... I hope Belton gets to learn more under Tom and this OL gets to learn more together as that's been the only weak spot I've noticed thus far.

Giving up pressures on blitzes. This is good preparation for Minnesota later in the year, but, I'd like to see the ball out quickly in the hands of Golden, Wicks, whomever and have a cleaner possession. BUT...27-10 over the NFCCG losers Washington after the 15-2 Detroit Lions... that's a pretty minor gripe and one that's easier to overcome with this Micah lead defense.

It has been called both ways, so I guess we can’t complain too much, but I don’t know about some of these defensive holding calls. Especially ironic with Richard Sherman on the mic for pre and postgame analysis…

honest question with Ertz and all these contact/holding penalties....can an offensive player get called for illegal contact past the 5 yards downfield in a pass route?  I don't know how a defensive player can avoid those type of contact/holding plays if a guy like Ertz is seeking out the contact before making a break on the route.  It's not like Gronk using body position - it's like he's throwing a block downfield
