The Dodger pitching had something to do with it.

It’s probably pretty cool not having to decide whether to pitch an opener or a washed Quintana in a NLCS.   It’s also probably pretty neat to have Ohtani as your number 4 pitcher.

Dodgers payroll turns the Brewers offense from the highest BA in the league over 162 games into the worst of all time in a mere four games.  Miraculous, actually.

Some, yes.  They aren't nearly as unhittable as the Brewers have made them look.  (Outside of Snell in game 1.  That was an obscene pitching performance.)

They did a pretty good job against the Phillies too, a team that can hit the baseball.

Is anybody's pitching three runs, 10-104 (.096) BA through four games good?

Ohtani has more hits, runs, rbi's, HRs, and walks ...................

than the entire Brewers offense, (that's offensive)

The real problem is when they spend money they spend it like idiots 27 million for yelich after he broke his kneecap not to mention his nagging back pain his whole career all the while he had atleast 2 years left on his deal when they signed that extension 17.5 million to woodruff to rehab with a blown out shoulder that almost nobody has came back from with great success 34 million for hoskins off a blown acl signing a 32 year old cain for 5 years what did we give wade mileys old ass last year 8 mil it just never ends with stupid decisions

Plus the pandemic was rearing it's head and everyone should have known that as things were already getting shut down. I thought that alone was a dumb reason to extend him when they did. And no, I'm not using hindsight either.

Look, the Dodgers are just better. They beat us. I wish we'd played better, but I think our limit here was getting this to 6.

We have some great young pitching. We have a couple of really good young bats. The system is deep. The pitching lab is great. This franchise is in great shape. I don't know if we'll win a pennant in my life, but I have seen more meaningful baseball than I ever thought back in 1999. Meaningful baseball is the point.

I consider this season a clear success. This ending is incredibly frustrating the last two nights, but not the kind of frustration that's going to stick around more than another 8 hours. Sometimes, the other team is just better. I do hope we manage not to get shutout, though.

After how bad the Braun extension went you would've thought they learned

Good night, friends. Yeah, I don't foresee any miracle comeback.

Except for these last 4 miserable thumpings, it was a good season, with many enjoyable wins.

I'll leave the postmortems to others for now.

Ive never wished injuries on players directly....

But the only way for the rest of mlb to compete with this Dodgers team in any given year is if theyre filling up the IL - the Dodgers were just that most of the regular season and thats why this team didnt win 115+ games.  Now they are healthy and toying with playoff opponents.

Had they not gotten their rotation healthy, fresh, and playoff-ready, this would have been a fair fight.

Maybe I should keep typing this post - as a timid rally is sort of brewing.

I don’t recall it being this bad offensively

They went through a week or two where they were on shutout watch nightly...that was back when the Cubs were the 27 Yankees on offense and PCA wasnt trying to rob HR hit 30 feet over the wall

So where is this series going to rank in baseball history's all time greatest embarrassments?

Nobody will remember it except Brewers fans.

Attanasio has made more money since 2020 than he could have ever possibly dreamed of making.  It’s insulting to push the con that the abbreviated Covid season has absolutely anything to do with what their payroll is in ‘25.

We have no idea how much money he is making. The public has not seen the books.

Very true. Their four starters only got 73 starts I believe and probably the equivalent of 68-69 considering the buildup of Ohtani during the year. If they got anything close to 30 starts out of those four there is no way they don't win over 100.

If you say so.   I hate the Cubs with a passion   I would do anything to beat them.  The Dodgers are better than the Brewers.  I wish we would have put up more of a fight but they weren’t winning this series.   This Dodgers team isn’t anything close to what they saw in the regular season.

That was the biggest cop-out posted yet.

Show me the receipt where he took profits out of the team operations and bought a yacht...I bet the rest of the 60% of ownership interests would love to see that, too.
