Great to see LF Josh Adamczewski and CF Braylon Payne back in the lineup for their first action since Thursday, April 9.

High-A Wisconsin is hosting Cardinals' affiliate Peoria this week, starting with today's doubleheader after yesterday's rainout. The lineup graphic showed RHP Travis Smith as starting Game 1, but I guess it's RHP Jason Woodward.

When I was watching the MiLB TV stream, this happened during a commercial break, so I'm glad there was actual video still!

I had the same thought, commercials finished just as the ball cleared the fence

Three home runs off of Brett Wichrowski (5 IP, 4 ER) and one off of Ryan Birchard (2 IP, 3 R (2 ER)).

Biloxi has also stranded 9 baserunners through 7 innings, trailing 7-1.

But now Tayden Hall gets to make his AA debut, pinch hitting for Kay-Lan Nicasia with the bases loaded and 1 out in the top of the 8th inning. Big chance!

Hall walked (an "RBI walk"), the 4th straight free pass issued by the Columbus reliever.

Josh returns with a 2-for-2, 1 R, 2 RBI and Solo Johnson to start things off. Payne, leading off, 1-for-1, 1 R, 1 RBI, 1 BB, and 2 SB. I do believe that'll play.

The lads lead 6-0 top of 4. Woodward went 3.0 IP scoreless scattering a hit, 2 BB, with a punch out. He gave way to Mr. Low.

After winning Game 1 of today’s home doubleheader over Peoria, the High-A Timber Rattlers send out RHP Travis Smith (5 IP, 1 R, 4 Ks last outing) to lead them to victory in Game 2. 2B Juan Baez and C David Garcia also join the starting lineup for Game 2.

RF Josiah Ragsdale troughed at 1-for-21 (.048 AVG) after an 0-for-2, 1 BB performance in Game 1, but he's started a potential rally in Game 2 with a leadoff single and stolen base in the bottom of the 3rd inning. Wisconsin trails 4-0.

Pena is not long for Appleton but O'Rae has every right to his spot currently in Biloxi.

I just said this in another thread but our outfield prospect list is just about dry after Lara in the upper levels. Pena might force O'Rae out into LF and if I were O'Rae I would welcome it. There is a path there to big league at bats in Milwaukee... I'm not sure that is true at 2b for him?

It’s time for RHP Logan Henderson to dominate again (8.1 IP, 2 R, 13 Ks in AAA/MLB this year), this time as AAA Nashville aims to grab a 2-0 home series lead over Worcester. C Ramon Rodriguez is quietly excelling (12-for-26 = 462 AVG; 3-for-8 caught stealing).

Well, the T-Rats only got 1 run across in that 3rd inning, but an HBP, error and Ragsdale 3-run blast in the bottom of the 5th inning have tied it up!

RHP Michael Fowler works around a free pass for the 6-5 T-Rats victory in Game 2. That's a double-header sweep. The young men improve to 7-3. Is the T-Rats line up better than the Brewers? (maybe not Blue font🤭)

19-year old RHP Miqueas Mercedes (9.1 IP, 1 R, 11 Ks) makes his 3rd start of 2026 as Low-A Wilson shoots for a 2-0 home series lead over Hill City. LF Luiyin Alastre had a big day in yesterday’s win (2-for-3, double, walk, 2 RBIs, SB).

That’s a really tough first inning for Mercedes, giving up 2 doubles, 2 singles and a walk.

Thankfully the damage was only 2 runs. Time for Wilson to play catch-up.

Brady Ebel is now 1 for his last 31, popping out with the bases loaded down 6-3 to end the 7th inning.

I miss Tyler Rodriguez and Luis Lameda.

That Wilson team is struggling mightily on offense.  On one hand, they are really young, but also a lot of those players have been there before (Anderson, DiTuri, Alastre, Ibarguen, Lameda and Walther), and several with a brief stint there last year (Ebel, Ortuno, Encarnacion), so they should be better.
