Wilson is going for 6 in a row too.

Yeah.

Worthy of mention.

AND, I intentionally stayed away from the '6' and '9' here for 'reasons'.

Also the 'TBD' is a play on the Sounds early morning scheduled pitcher. With Jim away til Friday it's a tip of the Wordsmith cap to our GOAT 😉

@Jake McKibbin: There's a career with the Brewers waiting for you yet! Big Time.

Haha honestly, I just love how del Chiaro is so excited for his prospects. He gets so pumped for them, like a proud dad.

Seems like an awesome dude

20-year old RHP Jayden Dubanewicz had a terrific short start last week (3 IP, 0 R, 5 Ks) and looks to lead Low-A Wilson to a 6th straight win (and its first winning record since April 5), this time at home against Delmarva. CF Jose Anderson has 3 homers in his last 3 games.

The AAA Sounds aim for a 9th consecutive victory and a 2-0 series lead at Durham behind recently-struggling LHP Tate Kuehner (14 ER in last 11.1 IP). 2B Eddys Leonard hit the walk-off winner on Sunday and is 8th in OPS (.995) in the 20-team International League.

This Sounds team is on an absolute heater. Badoo with two jacks, Leonard with another long ball as he keeps mashing, and Pratt as well. Lara with another three hit performance. Jett tacks on two pokes of his own. It's a 9 game streak! AND with Memphis losing G2 at Iowa tonight, the Sounds are now tied atop the International League Leaderboard.

Quezada's return to Wilson's pitching staff did not go to plan: 1 2/3 IP, 5 H, 3 BB, 1 WP, 1 HR, 2 K, 7 ER. Ouch!

Did Tate Kuehner leave with an injury today?

It would appear so 🫣

From the Sounds post-game article:

Quote

Nashville's lead didn't last long as Durham tied the game up 2-2 in the bottom of the third inning with four singles off of starting pitcher Tate Kuehner. With two outs in the inning, Kuehner was replaced by Kaleb Bowman due to an injury, but Bowman closed out the frame with a strikeout to strand three Bulls on base.
