There is literally no batted ball data on a lot of the stuff today.  Nothing on Yelich's pop up to the wall, nothing on Kurtz's homer, Sal' flyball, Thomas's flyball.  Would it surprise anybody if the MLB office told them not to put some of it out there because it makes them look bad?

Sure of it

I know stadium and wind and all that but Gasser wasn’t a major league caliber pitcher coming into tonight and won’t be after tonight.

85 mph exit velocity at a 51 degree launch angle goes an average of 239 feet.  Gelof just did that and it went 282 feet.

This isn’t baseball. It’s not fun or funny. It’s killing the pitchers stats. Harrison’s ERA almost doubled last night. That could cost him an All-Star bid & bonus. This was a bad idea. One game - maybe. Three games - horrible decision.

I promise not to criticize Gasser tonight.  If we were playing in a non-little league venue…

Both HRs allowed were lower in the zone but pretty much right down the middle. Maybe not 446 feet bad though

He’s going to give us 5 quality innings of 10 earned runs.

But it might take him 150 pitches to do it

On the other hand, think of what the hitters can now take into arbitration 🙂

5 HRs this series from Bauers should put him in the AS game

Google AI suggests that 239 feet would have only carried an extra 24 at Coors on average.

Is the new Las Vegas Stadium a dome? Can anything be done to make the park MLB quality? Will their field dimensions be similar to Coors Field?

It will be a fully climate controlled dome.

It won’t be anything similar to this series.

Radio just mentioned the new stadium location will be almost 1000 ft lower in elevation which helps

I agree but on the other hand you have Chourio Bauers Contreras Vaughn in home run derby. What? Vaughn is out of the derby and we rolling with Sal? Hmm

Ginn is a pretty decent starter.  Need to get his pitch count up and try and get him knocked out in five.

A's have a massive advantage with the starter

After watching the game last night it is clear that the series is going to be all offense. I dont get why Vaughn isn't in, maybe Murph wants to build up Sal but Vaughn just had one of the best games of the year.

because no matter what, a right handed Vaughn can NOT bat against a right handed pitcher.

State law.

Vegas is down in the valley.  This stadium is in Summerlin about 1,000 feet higher.  Still, MLB is insane if they don't do testing to see how the ball flies in the new stadium before they play there to see if they need a humidor or something.
