If they tie this up I am going to be really pissed at Murphy for pulling Vaughn.

I’m already upset with Murphy for making that change - even if Uribe wiggles out of this jam

So one of our top 3 hitters is back on the bench, and  can't hit in a critical situation?

Ok then. good managing...

They treat Vaughn like he's a Perkins.

I'm not sure what Vaughn has to do to get playing time...

We've only scored 16 more runs than them coming into this game. As for the pitching remark, I'm not even going to justify that with a response.

Our pitching has an 11.5 fWAR, 3.40 xERA, and a 3.53 FIP. Their pitching has a 7.6 fWAR, 3.73 xERA, and a 3.97 FIP. Brewers=better.

And your comment was "we can't compete with them"....These games, the teams' respective run differentials, and hitting/pitching stats suggest that we can definitely compete with them. Where is the basis for saying we can't compete with them?

Then when he does get a start, he gets pulled early for a pinch runner?

Nothing good ever comes out of bringing Sal Frelick in the game.

Can't wait for him to come up in the 10th in a huge spot instead of Vaughn.

Man, when they said Rowdy Tellez was pinch-hitting I thought it was some joke I didn’t understand. Then I see Rowdy in the batter’s box. Didn’t know he was still in MLB

Only 8 pitches for Megill, maybe he comes back out with Ashby ready if he gets in trouble.

I don't think so. I think Murphy got exactly what he wanted and has Ashby for the L/L/S/L pocket in the 9th inning.

I think using Megill in the 8th was more about making sure Ashby gets the Braves' dangerous lefties.

Rowdy Tellez is proof that big lefty swingers live forever in the Show. Wow

Blake Burke will play forever once he makes it.

Oh, I know that.  But if the assumption was that Megill was going to throw 15+ pitches, the thought was that for only 8 pitches he might consider leaving him in.

Oh, I see. You're one of those guys that likes to use advanced stats to make things say anything you want them to say. As the old saying goes, there are three kinds of lies. Lies, damned lies, and statistics. Even if our pitching was better, it's certainly not wayyyy better like you said it was. I'll just go by the tried and true eye test. Unless the Brewers plan on using a two man rotation in October, I'll take the Braves pitching staff over ours every time.
