Ok I guess. Even up one or tied these game threads are pessimistic. The Crew is up 7 in the loss column. Some poster predicted the Crew would go 4-14 into the break. I bet him a 500 record. Our fans in these threads are completely delusional.

It’s game thread specific. If you’ve been in the main threads pretty much everyone acknowledges that the Brewers are one of the best run organizations in baseball. Even the ones who think Murphy’s in game decisions are questionable mostly acknowledge that he’s the right fit for this team.

It's a shame you can't differentiate between baseball in June and baseball in October.

Hahaha, ok bro.

Please take a deep breath. They have 81 games to go until season’s end. It’s possible they may not even make the playoffs. If I were you I’d be most concerned with the upcoming 4 games with the Reds.

Um, ok? I am breathing just fine. I think it's highly unlikely they don't make the playoffs especially in this new NBA format. They are one of the best 5 teams in baseball. But that doesn't change the fact that they have two highly volatile guys in a CBC role that struggle with command and like to put runners on base. That will be fun watching them close a potential game with ATL, PHL or LAD.

And yeah, I'm not really concerned about the likes of the Reds. They could lose all 4 games but teams like that won't be their undoing.

How great is it that the Crew actually play October baseball almost every single season the last 10 years? We have fans that forget the 80s and 90s and most of the 2000s and 2010s. Despite payroll disparity a poster today said the GM should be held accountable! I asked twice what that means, nothing from that poster. Our fans on this site are brutal in the threads.

Look at the Reds game threads when the Crew swept them. It’s always a cesspool of negativity:

Some good news - Henderson’s rehab start went very, very well.

I wouldn’t wait long on him.

Yup. Call him up in 3-4 days when he’s ready to start.

Nice work Brewerfanatics!  This thread really blew up after Kuhnel did. :-)

Love it. This site needs more rational fans posting in the game threads. It’s normally negative comments. One of the best teams in baseball has posters asking for our GM to take accountability. Gotta love it.

Get rid of Kuhnel, only Uribe, Megill, Koenig, Ashby and Anderson left in the pen. Then upgrade from Anderson at the deadline and get rid of him.

I'm not even kidding. Pen can’t blow games if they’re not pitching.

Kuhnel was not very good today, obviously. But in other outings he has been serviceable to good. All pitchers have bad days. I have become a believer in the dark arts of the Brewers pitching coaches. Maybe they help Kuhnel find the his mojo. They've done it before. Maybe Kuhnel will help us eat up innings in less pressure situations.

He is a 31 year old journeyman that has not had a very good career and was just DFAed by the Athletics.

Chances are far greater that he won’t be on this roster by August.

Kuhnel as a Brewer has a FIP over 10 with a 19% K-rate and 14% BB-rate. He’s been objectively terrible. xERA and ERA are both over 6. SIERA is pushing 5. He’s thrown 44 pitches over the last two days and likely needs to be down a day or two when our pen is already stretched extremely thin. It would be incredibly shocking if he was still on the team tomorrow.
