2nd and 3rd with 1 out and Kelly threw 6 pitches none within half a foot of the strike zone and got 2 outs. That's just horrific from Vaughn and Frelick.

Vaughn and Frelick should have known all of the pictures were going to be soft.

I do not think it is wise for a small market team to trade its young talent for one year Skubal.

Two months of Skubal … right? I’m completely opposed as well. I’m not sure there is any trade we can make that would get us past the Dodgers this year.

I hope we keep our prospects & plan on being a top World Series contender for years to come.

I thought so also, he never looks like he runs at 100%

It has nothing to do with running at 100%.

He went to second base and waited to see if the ball might be caught. When the ball bounced off the wall and straight to the centerfielder, he had no chance to score

Sitting here at home, it might be easy to say that he should have been easy to see that the ball wasn’t going to be caught

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Why aren’t people on this chat system out watching fireworks?

Got a golden that is terrified of them. Least favorite holiday of the year personally.

Also for a C, where you usually expect a high baseball IQ, he seems to make some clueless baserunning decisions.

I agree - this is the year to go big.

2027 may not even have a season and who knows what the financial changes will do with prospect control/player salaries.

Go get an impact starter and shutdown reliever....hope for a bat that can help, too.

I'm fine with Uribe and Megill but yeah, with Woody likely done for the season if not his career and Harrison regressing some, gotta get that starter and at least an average hitting SS/3B.

The ball was crushed.  There was no chance it was being caught.  It was an awful read.  The damn ball went 421’

Very juvenile AB from them. Kelly's hard stuff was getting crushed that inning. Should have absolutely been expecting him to go soft with a runner on 3rd and less then 2 outs

I live a mile from the lakefront. I can see them out my living room window just fine.

Coop has just 2 hits in his last ten games played. He does however have 6 walks drawn and only 7 strikeouts.

Came back to earth after a strong start.

Look, I’m still glad he got paid. We weren’t going to do anything else with that 22M anyway.

It was a Brewer gamble to get an extra pick. And it backfired... he took the 1 year offer.

It's still money that could have been spent in a meaningful way elsewhere, beit another prospect extension or money thrown into the front office to keep personnel. Seemed and seems like a total waste.

But yes, feel for Woodruff.  He went through a lot of ups and downs over the last 4 years.

It probably would not have been spent and it’s just not that big of a deal to the organization.
