I love the alumni game. I've invested so much of my time into these teams over the years and like the nostalgia of seeing the old boys again.

This. It's just fun. That's it.

(I didn't get to watch, but hopefully MLB TV will have it archived)

Yep, it's fun. I laugh out loud when people complain about the quality of the baseball in something like this.

No complaining about it from me, I’m glad for anyone who gets joy from it. For me personally I would find it no more enjoyable than watching a random spring training game that I don’t care about.

Anybody have an archived link? I had to miss it live, and my kids are wondering why I can’t find an illegal stream for it.

I think the Legends game was fun,

Seeing some of the players from that era brings back some memories, and it’s good to see that those guys feel strongly enough about the city and Brewers organization to come back to do it.

The thing about Sugano, he's one of those guys who doesn't walk many but when I've seen him, he seems to use that well by setting an aggressive mindset to the opposing hitters and taking advantage---not by getting chases so much, but by throwing the pitch you don't expect. And he has like 6 different ones. Couple of solos aren't gonna beat him. Some other hard-hit balls--although not as many as Brian Anderson seemed to think--but we usually mix in walks when we have big innings & that wasn't happening.

IMO using Vaughn in the 6th wasn't a "What a moron!!!!!" moment, but I would've stayed with Lara.

Drohan had a bad day. Some good young hitters on the Rockies & they put up good ABs especially early, but he was staring right at Castro & allowed much too good a jump, the SB cost him a run. Then he stays out to start the 7th L vs L and walks Moniak. Another run.

Not who you play, but how. At least the top part of the order swung it pretty well, maybe a portend.

Would love to see what our record is based on the number of walks we get in the game.

MLb average is 3.44 BB/9 so I'll split by 3 walks or fewer and 4 walks or more.

3 walks or fewer - 25-22 (.532%)

4 walks or more - 39-17 (.696%)

Thanks... Kind of what I expected.

If I'm managing against the crew the most important thing.... Don't walk them.
