I love the idea of deploying a well-rested Ashby in one-inning stints. Unfair to the opponents that we could potentially have him as the #4 or #5 best option out of the pen.

Keep in mind that his shoulder was bothering him all year.  Last year he was a .750 OPS, 2.9 bWAR / 3.6 fWAR player at age 25.  That is, at worst, a well above average 4th OF who can play any OF position.

And Lara's OPS is down to .678.  I'm not considering him a big improvement just yet.
