I am really excited to see all the promotion from the weekend in there new places. It seems like most of the minor except Wilson could use a little pick me up,

They could really use a phenom SS in Nashville right now.

Maybe next week we could see Made to AAA, Dickinson to AA, Ortuno/Ibarguen? to A+. and maybe Hughes or someone to A. It would be nice to get Made some AAA time but he is the type of prospect who should be able to go from AA straight to the bigs if needed.

Red-hot C Bo Naylor (3 HR, 5 RBIs over last 2 games) and the AAA Sounds play at Orioles’ affiliate Norfolk this week. LHP Colton Gordon makes his 6th start since being acquired (5.08 ERA, 23 Ks in 28.1 IP).

LHP JD Thompson (3 IP, 2 R, 4 Ks last week) makes his second start at this level.

Somehow Brock Wilken despite hitting .180 with a sub .700 OPS leads Nashville in RBI, XBH and BBs

Having 26 more PA than second most on the team and 72 more PA than third most on the team is probably the biggest reason.

DH/SS Brady Ebel (.836 OPS in 493 PAs with 38 SBs) makes his debut at the  High-A level as Wisconsin host Guardians’ affiliate Lake County. Rehabbing SS Cooper Pratt sees his first action in 10 days. RHP Jacob Morrison was solid in his last outing (5 IP, 1 R, 5 Ks).

Eric Bitonti must be itching to move up the chain with draft mate Cooper Pratt in town.

If memory serves, Bitonti had the higher bonus by about $500k. I remain super high on him and it’s just more evidence that Pratt is a freak outlier in his age group.

Bitonti, O’Rae, and Boeve all deserve a bump as well.

Made will surely get a taste of AAA soon probably within 2-3 weeks, O’Rae and Boeve have done good enough at AA to maybe get a taste of AAA this year, however I wonder how they will divy up all these ABs between these guys, AAA will soon be extremely crowded in the infield. I wonder if they will just release a guy or 2 to make room, or demote someone underperforming to AA like Freddy Zamora, Eric Brown or Eduardo Rodriguez. They also have Brock Wilken, Ethan Murray, etc taking up infield ABs. Quero taking up ABs at DH. Luke Adams injury AFAIK doesn’t seem season ending and could be back soon. But now Burke is at AAA playing 1B too. Jett Williams also there in the IF if his injury isn’t season ending, he would probably move to OF. Fischer possibly gets a taste of AAA at the end of the year too. I kind of figured Adams would be included in a deal at the deadline as they have a ton of AAA/AA 1B/3B guys and he is rule 5 eligible this offseason, and I think would actually be selected by another team if not on the Brewers 40 man. Wilken, Boeve, O’Rae also rule 5 eligible but don’t think they’re of high enough pedigree to be poached by another team.

Made for 1 of Zamora/E. Brown/E. Rodriguez seems like an easy AA/AAA shortstop swap soon though or they can just release one of them to make room.

Biloxi will be in the playoffs, so I actually don’t expect many more promotions to AAA.

Maybe Made goes to Nashville for 2 weeks, then returns to Shuckers for the playoffs. Makes sense to add Dickinson, Bitonti and Knoth for AA playoffs, if Wisconsin (2.5 GB two teams) doesn’t capture a berth.

The RidgeYaks are putting up video game numbers against Wilson. 21 runs, 19 hits, 20 RBIs through 5 innings. Everyone has a hit. One player has 7 RBIs, another has 5 RBIs. My oh my.

Colton Gordon exited after 4 innings and 77 pitches, coinciding with an injury delay at the start of the bottom of the 5th inning.

Nashville had stormed back from down 4-0 to lead 6-4 (Black grand slam, Quero RBI double, Wilken homer), but have conceded 3 runs in the bottom of the 7th inning on 2 weak infield singles, a double and an error.

Pretty crazy what has happed to Biloxi this month. We talk a lot about the pitching, but the offense has also really struggled. Feels like they are losing big every night I look at their boxscore.

Brewers signing these total bums Ji Wan Bae and Ornelas the past few weeks to fill in for Pratt makes me wish they just gave Freddy Zamora or Ethan Murray their cup of coffee at the MLB level but I digress

Make it 4. His ability to draw walks is borderline dumbfounding.

You always like to have at least one or two "Guys the Opponent Loves to Hate" type players. Not due to an abrasive attitude or anything, just always making it tough for them to beat you. I think B Ebel might have some of that.
