Bauers has arguably cost us 3 baserunners and 3 outs tonight with his foolish first inning challenge.

That honestly is more of an in-game benchable offense than not running 100 mph out of the box on a pop fly down the RF line you didnt immediately pick up, IMO

Well, just gotta remind ourselves that a week ago at this time, if we knew the Brewers would be 7 up in the division after tonight, we would have been thrilled. I also think our two best pitching matchups are the last two games of this series, especially given Harrison’s recent struggles. I wouldn’t give up on a Robert Gasser start either. His numbers are really inflated by two blowup starts, but other than that, he’s been cromulent as a bottom of the rotation arm.

We do need to figure out who is our #3 pitcher, though. Thankfully, we have some time for May, Gasser, Drohan, Harrison, or maybe even Crow to get red hot.

Getting down 6-0 is bad enough.  Listening to the "home announcer" drooling over the prospect of playing in Wrigley Field is making it worse.  No BA, your first game playing at Wrigley is not comparable to your first ever MLB game.

Yes, its one game.  4-3, or 12-0, counts the same in the standings.  The best the Cubs xan get to tonight is 7 games back with 24 to play.

Well if not that, then certainly the clown show defensive play he just made.

Brian Anderson is such a tool.

He’s been awful this year on the games he’s done.   I was done with him during the Twins series.  Talking about hot they were even though they came into the game with like a 4 game losing streak.

Zero reason Levering shouldn’t just take over. BA isn’t even a part timer anymore. He has little clue what’s going on with the team, is far to complimentary of our rivals.

Have to wonder how much his injuries are affecting his play.

Well, his injuries certainly didn’t make him tap his head like a doofus in the first,

Just luring in that false sense of cubby confidence before the brewers win the last 3 this series

Chess, not checkers, lol

Using all of the dumb in one game?

Where did that first pitch miss? This ump is blind or bias, which is it

To Amaya?? He was right, that was a ball. He was wrong when he called a later one a strike

The next best available pitcher is pitching for the Cubs tonight. The difference between he and May is quite wide.

Clay Holmes missed all year with a broken leg and has a player option for 2027. Big gamble acquiring him. If he sucks or gets injured he assuredly exercises his player option .
