Score one for the Little Engine that Could.

This felt like a bigger win than maybe it should've felt like, like a demon was exorcised or something. Maybe due to the score yesterday. Some bad batted-ball luck for Gasser in the 4th but not a lot of sympathy. leadoff walk, ball hitting the heel of his glove on the throw. Very nice through 3 though.

Some of the defense this series has been ugly. But I'll consider it a blip when you see how well they've performed all year. I'm ready for Ortiz to get the lion's share at 3B. Non-pressure play in the 9th & a slow runner, but that was a really impressive grab & throw.

Also non-pressure but damn, DL Hall has been eye-opening lately As long as he can force swings..........

I'll throw a crumb to Armstrong, which is of course easier to do after a win. That ball he played off the wall on the Contreras double, whirling & throwing in one motion & right on the bag to 2nd-----that was a serious talent display.

When Uribe struck out PCA with that low sinker, I thought... there is that PCA from last year that swung at anything below the zone...

The challenge was laughably bad too.  Almost as bad as him jumping at HR balls 20 feet above his head.

Didn't get to see Romero inning but glad to hear he looked the part. With him Ashby and Hall all of a sudden you can neutralize the lefty hitters late.

I want to "like" your post but I can't bring myself to support anything positive about the Meathead.

It's amazing how hard hitting can be when you aren't fed a steady diet of meatballs.

PCA has chased out of the zone, too - the Brewers have held him to by far the worst offensive #s against any opponent thjs season.  Maybe he'll get right against Miz tomorrow, but i sort of doubt it unless he runs into a mistake slider

They’re just starting Spring Training for Snell and Glasnow and Ohtani is still on hold.

PCA, Freeman, Ohtani... I don't think it is a coincidence we have a bunch of LHRPs..

After losing Zerpa, Koenig getting IL'ed & never getting back to his previous form & Fitzpatrick looking OK & then getting hurt, it's fortunate to have the pen lined up from the left side the way they do.

Of course Drohan & Gasser will figure there, too.

I know people like seeing Yelich go the other way but I want him to pull the ball with power like tonight.   To me that shows some sort of sign

Watching Coun$ell’s postgame is worth the time. Twice, he emphasized that Yelich’s HR wasn’t hit that well & was only out at Wrigley on a night with the wind blowing out. He also referred to Milwaukee as “the best team in baseball” suggesting that to beat them you must play great defense rather than good defense.

Considering what we saw last night……the opponent…..the venue…..and then getting down 3-0 with the wind blowing out……might be the best win of the season.

Big swing by Yeli…….contributions up and down the lineup………and man that bullpen.
