We've seen that teams are screwing around with the Mound and trying to get in Miz head.  Maybe the mound is less of an issue for Henderson, but we absolutely want Game 7 in Milwaukee.

Given we will have significant rest in the Wildcard Round, I think there is less value in resting our guys if there are still meaningful games to get that 1 seed.

The issue with this thinking is the 1 seed doesn't necessarily guarantee you more Miz home starts in the postseason. For instance, if the NLDS goes to 5 games like last year, with Miz presumably pitching game 5, the earliest he's then available is a game 3 in the NLCS which would be on the road with HFA. 

Plus, Dodger Stadium has not exactly been a "problem mound" for Miz. He's shoved there in his appearances both in the regular season and the postseason including just a month ago. 

So, that still leaves me not caring whatsoever about HFA....

Mounds should be made entirely of some sort of composite material, front to back. Something that behaves just like regular dirt but doesn't have the 'give' that's caused him some concerns. MLB will announce that they're switching over to this approximately 15 minutes after Misiorowskis' contract expires & he signs with the Yankees or Dodgers.

I didn't want him gone. I thought on balance his defense probably saved a comparable number of runs as his absent bat cost us. Also, at the time, we really didn't have anyone to replace him.

We were at a tournament at Woodside in the Dells with a 17u academy team where I was an assistant coach.  They had those temporary mounds made out of something like OSB with turf on it.  We were playing against a team from Alabama and their pitcher was shoving it.  He was probably 6' 3" and throwing low 90's.  We got some hits early on.

Around the beginning of the third inning, our coach said, "You know, that mound doesn't look right."  Sure enough, the temporary mound had moved forward about a foot or more.  They moved it back -- we started hitting the ball and ended up winning.

Our pitcher was more of a junk pitcher (a good one, though).  His breaking balls moved more (obviously).  👍

Totally agree. There have been so many people over the years that added wins that maybe weren't obvious to some fans. Erik Kratz & Manny Pina were unsung heroes in '18 (although Pina actually hit a little bit that year).

Based on historical anecdotes I think the biggest part of homefield vs. the Dodgers for me is 1 less game on the West Coast. I tend to believe some combination of distance and time zones does make those longer trips harder than. I haven't seen any studies on it, but it is plausible and fits perception.

I've never wanted Ortiz gone either. Even at his absolute worst, he's young, cheap, and terrific defensively.

On the third walk (Busch) Contreras missed an easy ABS that would have been strike three. A lot of his misses were close misses. I disagree. Both pitches that Contreras didn't challenge against Busch were not easy challenges because Sproat missed the target by like 2ft each time causing Contreras to reach to get the ball making it much harder to know if it caught the zone or not.

The only scenario Misiorowski is pitching game 7 of the NLCS is if the Brewers went to game 5 in the NLDS. Otherwise he'd be set up to pitch game 1 and game 5 of the NLCS.

PH for Kelly was absolutely a bad decision by CC. When I saw that I knew things would be alright. For some reason, managers are beholden to analytics/ righty lefty matchups to a fault. I would've trusted a righty veteran like Kelly to come through before a lefty rookie with 10 career at bats.
