If this is the excuse, then you're not a top level guy, which everyone knows he absolutely is. When you skip to the NLDS every team you're facing is really good. You have to play well against those teams if you're among the elite. We can't excuse every shaky start by just saying it's the playoffs so it's ok. 

I’ve been disappointed in his performances even though he’s gutted through having suboptimal stuff which speaks to his quality in my perspective.

But I’m not coming into the game expecting him to mow down hitters like midseason game against the Reds either.

My guess is maybe he wants Hernandez against Uribe. I would have just left Hall in but idk. Uribe for 2?

Guess the plan is Uribe for the 6th. Maybe Ashby for 7th & 8th. Then Megill to close.

Getting several tack on runs would be critical.

Likely wants Uribe for the middle bats here, Ashby for 7 and 8 and Megill for the 9th. Not sure that plan is best but there is some sense there.

Seems like Murph is setting himself up to play matchup with the guys who didn’t pitch in the NLDS in the next few if the game remains close.

Or maybe he just rides Ashby’s arm until it falls off?
