I clearly disagree with all the guys that

 

1) SAY our RISP batting is not a mental problem, rather a lack of talent

 

or

 

2) PROVE (try to with numbers) that our RISP batting is not unusual

 

I will say until the cows come home... if you are league average or ABOVE with R not ISP, but you are bottem 3 WITH RISP...

 

THAT IS A PROBLEM

 

Let us not ignore it.

 

Why would anyone want to ignore it.

 

Let's fix it.

Have to agree on Branyan. I said months ago that I didn't understand all the love he gets. He just isn't bringing anything to the party.

 

That AB was a prime example of why K's matter. If he hits a ground ball or a fly ball, they might score a run there.

I've said all along that I don't understand the Branyan love. I like him as a reserve player, but not much more than that. Everyone talks about his OPS, but he only hits against righties. I used this example once before, but don't you think Carlos Lee's numbers would be better if he just hit against lefties? Branyan's numbers are inflated.

Hey, maybe it is the solution to the problem. Our lineup is so unbalanced, that only the guys at the top get on base... hence OPS is ok with no RISP. But then the crappy batters come up and cannot score them... therefore bad OPS with RISP.

 

And we repeat this game after game.

 

Could it be true. Is the solution to be more balanced? Are we that unbalanced. Sometimes I feel unbalanced.
