Really I think Clark should have scored on Lee's Foul out. With 2 outs a ball that far in the stands and a weak arm (lee) I'd try that anyday.

You mean his *only* moment of brilliance...

Didn't he win us back to back games?

The rest of his year was truly forgettable though...

this is the kind of game that will drive fans far away from the Brewers. All these baserunners, no timely hits, or even run-producing outs. And against the Cubs no less.

Yes - but since they -were- back-to-back, they basically seemed like one momenthttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif

I'm tempted to go find something else do to. Clearly, Ned isn't interested in winning the game...maybe he's content with a 2-1 start or something.

This is ridiculous.

It always sucks when you get owned by a 72 year old pitcher with a grey beard (literally), doesn't it?

Jesse Orosco's pitching??http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eek.gif

I would agree with you except, when was the last time Jenks did that?

Jenkins was the only full time Brewer hitter to put up decent numbers post all star break last year. Hitting 281 with 15 HR in 73 games. If you want a specific month just look at last september. .299 avg, 6 doubles, 2 triples, 7 HR, 22 RBI in 107 AB.

Great. He played well after the rest of the team went in the tank. That's helpful.

Wow - Lyle handled *two* foul popups in a row!

This has got to be a new record for him!!http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif

We may still have some hope, if we go into the top of the 9th down only one and LaTroy comes in to close.

I'm telling you right now. The only way this game can end is on a Jenkins strikeout.

Helms was world beater in September too....

Yes, if you define "world" as "bench" and "beater" as "warmer"http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif

yeah, in both '03 and '04 his numbers at the end of the year were good because he got hot in August/Sept, a month after the team went in the tank. Although in '03 he did help get them started to the winning streak before he got hurt

Oh I forgot, he carried the team to a 10-18 record last September. Gee, without Jenks they may have only won 5 games that month.

Time to dash the Cubs fans' hopes against a rock with a Brewers' win and a blown Cubs save.

Cubs still suck.
