Physical Harm

Posted

I just got through having a discussion via PM with a user who I banned for threatening physical harm to other users for their views. Last night, during the chat, there were also people who were hoping that Ned Yost should also be met with physical harm.

People, if things make you this upset, then you really need to take a break from the site. I know that some of it's meant in jest, but we've never seen this type of attitude before... even when the team lost more than 100 games.

If you want to remain posting here, you need to be civil. I draw the line at hoping players/managers die, and saying you want to punch another user. I really don't think I'm being overly harsh, here.

If someone disagrees with this policy, please chime in, and let's talk about it.

If someone really goes over the top, it becomes a situation that's out of Brian's hands. From Yuku's Terms of Use:

You agree to use the service in ways that are respectful to other users and their experience. Specifically, you agree not to publish Content that:

  • Promotes racism, bigotry, hatred or physical harm of any kind against any group or individual

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

After a tough Brewers loss, I like to blow off steam by punching, kicking, and throwing rocks at small children. Is this allowed, provided the defenseless child isn't a brewerfan.net user?

I find baby harp seal clubbing to be a tremendous stress reliever. Just make sure to wear eye protection.

I spear puppies. Just bought a hunting goat to track em down.

All joking aside, if following something makes one hate enough to want another person to suffer it's time to get a new hobby. Preferably one with puppies.

There needs to be a King Thames version of the bible.

I rob clowns at kids parties. I hope that's allowed, then I steal the kids' lunch money and the pinata that is usually set up in the backyard.

Appreciate the attempts at humor, but I'm locking the thread, as the "discussion", so to speak, is only garnering a post every day or two, and it's not really heading towards a substantive discourse.
