How will you celebrate if the Cubs win the World Series?

It would be painful enough seeing the Cubs' division championship shirts and hats. Seriously, that would be a nightmare. The Cubs games at MP would be unbearable.

There's a contradiction somewhere in that thread title.

I would not notice because by then the 2007 baseball season would be dead to me.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

I won't celebrate. because I'll have been dead for a long time.

IF it happens, I will probably drive up to Milwaukee because I live on the north side of Chicago and life would be miserable.

You've gotta believe in the Cubs...

As chokers, that is.

Come on everyone, I believe!

The revised 12 steps:

1) Admit that I'm powerless to have influenced the outcome. It was out of my hands.

2) Come to believe that a Power greater than myself could restore me to sanity.

3) Turn my life over to that Power.

4) Make a searching and fearless moral inventory of myself.

5) Admit to God, to myself, and to others that maybe they actually deserve to win one after 99 years. (This one will be the hardest)

6) Be ready for God to right the wrong he allowed to happen.

7) Humbly ask Him to remove any Brewer shortcomings.

8) Make a list of all persons we had teased for being a Cubs fan, and become willing to make amends to them all.

9) Make direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.

10) Continue to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admit it.

11)

Screw it, this better not happen.

Worrying about what would happen is pointless. Everyone knows that the Cubs winning the World Series would cause a tear in the fabric of time, and we'd all be instantly sucked into a black hole.

I will admit, though, that if it's going to happen that they just get it over with so we don't have to listen to anymore Cub whining about it. So thankful both Sox teams won recently so we don't have to hear that garbage anymore and the fans for the most part have dropped it, too.

Think happy thoughts...

... maybe a giant meteor would ram into earth and wipe out civilization just moments before the Cubs got the final out for the series victory. Somewhere there's a thread about that happening around 2029 or 2035.

... or if we're really lucky, Wowbagger the Infinitely Prolonged would suddenly appear in a silver spaceship, walk up to Carlos Zambrano and say, "You're a jerk Zambrano. A complete kneebiter.", just seconds before the earth is demolished.

On a serious note, I would be so damn happy that I live in LA and didn't get that promotion that would have sent me back to the midwest.

I'll call my Dad, who is 75 and has been a Cubs fan since he was a little boy. He grew up in Adams, WI. Milwaukee didn't have a team at the time and the Cubs were the only team he could pick up on the radio. I'll be happy for him and the fact that he got to see the Cubs win a WS while he was still alive.
