i always felt that milwaukee was lucky to have our 2 major facilities to not have obnoxious names. I really hope the bc doesn't get some strange name now like others have had.

To me it is pretty obvious that Kohl will be selling this team if not at the end of this season then next. First he has a lawyer on site to make the final decision on any larry harris trades. That right there should throw up a major red flag. He is 73 years old and was reelected in 2006. In 2012 Herb Kohl will be 77 years old. I think its safe to say he intends to retire from the Senate. He has no children so his team doesnt stay in the family.

We got a trade offer which was very good. We had a chance to get rid of our bad contacts in return for Zack Randoph. Why not make the deal? Well - Randolph is signed for 14,16, and 18 Million over the next 3 years. Selling a team with that type of contract is not going to happen too easily. Instead I expct the Bucks to try and move guys like Gadz, Simmons, and Moe Williams this offseason - finish high in the lottery this year and draft whichever guy looks like he has star power.

I say dont let the door slam on your fingers on teh way out. I wouldnt miss NBA Basketball with all teh great college teams in town.

I've been told the team is not for sale. That surprises me quite a bit, as it obviously has been for sale in the past. I heard that Herb's nephew, Dan Kohl might be interested in obtaining the team when he's ready to move on, but I've also heard he has no interest.

Seeing that I've contradicted every statement I made, it's time to sign off!

the head of the BC board was just on with charlie sykes. he sounded awful.

the "uh"s and "ah"s were painful to listen to. he was a beautiful politician though...dodged every direct question and sounded like a fool doing so.

sykes also made an interesting comment about how private places like the riverside theater and alpine valley are able to sustain themselves without naming rights and/or public support. the BC is on a much grander scale, but with the high price concerts and 3 major tenants, you wonder why they are so unsuccessful.

i know everyone preaches about the need for more club seats and corporate crap, but will that make that much of a difference?

Seems like too big of a p.r. fiasco.

Just sell the naming rights to the 4th st atrium or the gates ala Lambeau field and the naming rights to the floor like Marquette. You'll get less than $2mill/year, but with none of the problems.

Are the naming rights even worth anything?

If I were the head of a corporation, I would make the Bradley Center Group pay my corporation if they wanted to use its name. = P

hahaha.....some good points. Which corporation wants to be identified with management dysfunction and consistently underperforming expectations?

This is just begging for the usual list of name suggestions:

"AT&T Arena"

"MillerCoors Arena"

"Leinekugel's Center"

"Waste Management Center"

"The Jane Petit Time Warner Roadrunner Arena"

Seriously, I think part of that $90 million gift was the naming rights. It would be a shame to change it, but it will always be the BC to me.

It'll end up being something like "Invesco Field at Mile High" - the former name is too ingrained in people's minds to change things at this point.

They should call it The Harley Davidson Vroom Vroom Room
"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006
