    I don't care how poorly Arcia is hitting, batting Shaw against a tough lefty in that situation was an odd move. It's all situational. In this case, red hot Cain was on deck. So what is the ONE thing you can't have? A DP. Arcia may have spun out his shoes and K'd on 3 pitches, but now Cain is up with the bases loaded. (And Arcia has actually come up with some big RBI late in games this year.) I mean, PH Arcia isn't like a no-brainer decision or anything but it's what I would have done. If you can't trust him enough to start him or PH vs LHP then just send him down.

    Yea, it sucks for him but little need for a run stuffing LB anymore. Short yardage and goal line is about it and they can use their FB for that, seriously.

    Season one for sure. Whatever last years season was... nah. I wanted to like it, but done after 3 episodes. Just too cheesy, but that's network TV.

    Arcia has had a good road trip until last night. Looked like he was swinging wildly again, so not a tough choice to go with Perez. Maybe Arcia's being sent a message, maybe not. But its August now, and Arcia needs to step it up or become a defensive replacement.

    A small part of me wants to see Perez start instead of Schoop just to see the IGT blow up. Side note, my wife just asked if the new guy "Scoop" is playing tonight.

    Plus the car is from the 50s right? I suppose they could be giving away a classic car in the 80s, but that would be odd. Isn't the prize always a shiny NEW car? It's funny because it annoys my wife just as much as me, everything about it. The way she says "let's go back" is my fingernails on a chalk board. I'd rather see 100 Gruber commercials. The good news, gotta love Tubie.

    Yes. Only because you seem to smoke and grill a lot, I think you would definitely get the use out of it. I have a Primo ceramic (similar to Green Egg) and am so glad I "invested" in it. Definitely a huge advantage in a lot of ways to be able to grill and smoke on the same device. Plus I still have my old Weber charcoal grill for the "overflow" when I have a lot to cook, which is rare.

    Is anyone outside of the ultra-casual fan really going to have negative feedback on Braun leaving anymore? I just don't see anyone these days saying "Well Braun is gone, so I'm not watching or going to games." Hypothetically, if the Packers were able to survive the backlash from moving on from Brett Favre after 16 seasons, I think the Brewers would do just fine if they decided to move on from Braun. People find new favorites. At the end of the day if you're winning, that pretty much takes care of everything else. My sense is casual fans don't really care. They care more about racing wieners, bobble heads, and what the new beers are at the craft stand. When it comes to Braun, I think they've gone from love, to hate after the whole PED/lying thing, to now just meh, whatever. Either way, it wouldn't prevent Stearns from unloading $40MM+ in salary if he had the chance.

    I'd warn against eating chicken. If you haven't heard, Coach Harbaugh is advising his players not to eat chicken because it's not good for humans. "Chicken is a nervous bird," he said. It's causing some sort of sickness in the human population, according to him. You can thank me later for warning you all. Better to eat Crow on Miley. As for what he looks like, I think he looks like he should be sitting next to a mountain stream, with a deer hide jacket on, opening a can of Busch Light. I have been told by a reliable source in the IGT last night that Miley enjoys hunting a bear with his bare hands after a game and enjoying the fruits of his labor along with 6 baked potatoes.

    So Aguilar would not have the choice to stay with the Brewers if someone claimed him off waivers? Either way, I will admit I was wrong.

    All of this for saying 2% chance, wow. I still sense the general take has been sending him down is punishment based on a tough stretch at the plate. No, it would be a temporary move to let him work on his swing away from MLB for a week, then come back and help the team win the WS. Casey McGehee was sent down with no options I believe, I know it's happened with other players. If he goes 2-40 over the next two weeks they're really just going to let him sit on the bench? Maybe so, but I don't think saying there's a VERY SMALL chance they have him work on his swing in AAA is such a crazy idea. It's about trying different things to get him going again, not punishing him.

    Check your condescending tone at the door. No need to freak out people, I'm not saying send him down long term. I don't know why the immediate reaction is to act as thought AAA is punishment or something. He has really been struggling since a week before the ASG, it's not like he's had one bad week or something. A week in AA is just what the doctor ordered sometimes, happens all the time- even with players who have no options remaining. I rarely accept the premise something can NEVER happen, and I don't know how more clear I can be by saying I highly doubt they would go that route. But no, it's not impossible.

    True, but if he really embraces the fact it could help him, he could accept the assignment. Again, not very likely at all this will happen.

    Thanks for the help guys, that's about what I thought. So I guess I don't see the downside in working out a deal with Wheeler, Gonzalez, or anyone else? If someone else claims them, the seller can just pull them back.
