  1. Brewers have been willing to do unconventional things, why not tinker more withe lineup? Book says you keep a guy in a certain spot for at least 3-4 weeks before you think about moving him. Why? Why not move Grandal up to 3 as long as he's hot, move Shaw down to 7 or, 8 etc.? You could change guys every couple of days in theory to keep hot guys near the top. Whats so sacred about a set lineup?
  2. Are those the only two channels theyre adding? Because $10 isnt bad if theyre adding a bunch of new channels.
  3. I just didn't get a chance until now. Goldy hitting some balls hard off him really isn't a good argument, not too many pitchers he hasn't hit hard before. If you noticed, Peralta's curve was around the plate last night. I blame the bench for not having him throw it more often. (I'm assuming the bench calls the game for the young guys for the most part) I didn't see any of the game after the 2nd inning, so I'm not sure why/how Peralta was able to get some Ks later. I just think he was gassed in the 1st inning after giving up some soft hits at first, and then it just imploded from there. No excuse, I fully expect him to have these ups and downs for a while. Edit: The other thing I noticed, and Bill S was mentioning this, Peralta has had success with the high FB. They had him throwing it low a lot for some reason. And he wasn't missing, you can see Grandal's glove setting up at the bottom of the zone.
  4. Good news/ bad news from San Antonio. Houser goes 6 scoreless again, 4 H 0 Nb 6 Ks. Jeffress....another tough outing. No word on velo.
  5. He went 2-4 last night and was robbed of a HR. Yea, bur he rolled it over twice tonight= Yelich mini-slump
  6. Bucks play Saturday. Time/opponent TBD
  7. Well, I don't want to hijack this thread any longer, but feel the need to clarify. IMHO, and the opinion of many others, there are six major conferences. The Big East is slowly going down every year. Villanova with their championships really helps them recruit obviously, or the conf would be a solid 6 out of 6. As it stands, they are 5th. That's why I mean, by definition, Big East is a low-Major. I could say bottom major, but that sounds too negative. That's why I feel VA Tech is a better job than MU. It's not like the difference between Duke and UWM, but to me VA Tech is pretty clearly the better job. FWIW, describing conferences has bothered me for years because words mean things. Everyone refers to Horizon League as a mid-major, when it's not a major conference. If anything, it's a mid or low minor conference.
  8. Only in bf.net can we have two guys argue for two pages on something they agree on.
  9. Me too. These darn games won't start for us until after 10 pm EDT. Yea, but everyone tired and cranky = IGT gold
  10. Undisclosed reason doesn't sound good.
  11. I've said it earlier, but yea Wojo doesn't seem to have mojo. And I'm impartial, I'm neither a fan or enemy of MU. I don't see them play a ton, but it just seems they don't have an identity. As a layer wojo was the proverbial scrapper, and they don't play like that. They seem very, very soft but maybe I'm wrong.
  12. Or the opposite, bases loaded and up by 1. Seriously Trout is hot enough right now that an IBB every time is a safer option (only 1000 ops instead of 1500). If it's in the 3rd inning, I still might walk him. Late game you let Hader pitch to him. Well, we won't have to worry about that match-up until Wed. I still wouldn't have Hader pitch to him, expect as a fan I would I guess. You always want to see the best vs the best.
  13. If you want. You're doing a great job of proving the Big East is declining from previous years. I'm sure if you go back a few years Big East was #1 or 2.
  14. LOL are you serious? They had one bad year this past year, most teams were rebuilding, Nova had previously won 2 of the past 3 national championships. When is the last time a BigTentwelvefourtheen? team won the national championship? Michigan State in 2000, they must be a low major conference because they cannot win. Championship team has very little to do with the strength of the overall conference, of course. RPI ranking below for the 6 majors. Big East 5 out of 6, so yes they are low-major conference by definition. Can they bounce into the mid-major category? Sure, but they're not there right now. Big 12 ACC Big 10 SEC Big East PAC 12
  15. I know a guy who has a bullmastiff named "Moose" Another guy has a labradoodle named Giannis Antetokounmpo, but he usually calls him Freak. Come here freak!
  16. Very cool how loud the FF was, even though it was pretty much a meaningless game. That place is going to be LOUD come playoff time.
  17. Big East has pretty much become a low-major conference, by definition. They are at the bottom of the major conf list. ACC is at the top, so VA Tech is definitely on a higher level than Marquette.
