  1. Versus Lefty: Wong Huira Yelich Garcia Cain Pina Robertson Pitcher Arcia/Urias Versus Righty: Wong Huira Yelich Garcia Cain Shaw Narvaez Pitcher Urias/Arcia
  2. I would even go further and suggest that Anderson/Lauer be used s as a 6th SP for a 6 man rotation. With Hader earning more money, his salary could be more justified as a SP rather than a RP.
  3. Woodruff Burnes Hader Houser Lindbloom Just imagine if they stretched Hader out. Consider me drooling at the thought. Just get through 6-7 innings.
  4. Social media is already going crazy negative with this and he isn’t even a Brewer yet. I’m hopeful that he does well, but I just don’t have a good feeling about this.
  5. Shaw. Seriously the last possible choice I’d be happy with. I soooooo hope I eat crow, but if he gets off to a bad start, the media and fans will lead to another negative mind game for him. I do not trust him at all. Don’t trust him in any spot in our line-up....especially not in the 5 hole. Our line-up is so soft.
  6. I’m optimistic that the Crew will make 1-2 major league roster moves this week to solidify additional offense and pitching depth.
  7. Place this off the optimism thread. I’m hopeful. He seems to be pretty confident in his abilities. Gotta like that.
  8. Downside would be the mind games that come with coming back to the Crew. The unfortunate reality is that if he gets off to a bad start, the local media... and fans... are going to roast and question him just like his last year here.
  9. Both Lindbloom and Houser have higher projected WAR’s than all of those players/FAs. Lauer has a pretty small projected WAR but I’m optimistically optimistic about him. Bring in Odorizzi as our #3 or #4. Lindbloom actually has a higher projected WAR than Houser but I’d actually move Lindbloom to our #5 SP.
  10. Bring Odorizzi home!
  11. Sweet! I was not a fan of Rich Hill taking up a spot on our roster. Yes, I understand we could benefit from depth, but I just feel there could be younger, higher upside options out there.
  12. Sweet! I was not a fan of Rich Hill taking up a spot on our roster. Yes, I understand we could benefit from depth, but I just feel there could be younger, higher upside options out there.
  13. Normally, once one of the big Twiiter names such as Heyman call out the player having multiple offers on the table... things move somewhat quickly from there. Let’s hope
  14. Either. Who are they?
  15. I’m loving all this reverse psychology going on in this thread. Let’s go Crew!!! Let’s make this happen.
  16. Frankly I’m just getting p*sssd off the more this Turner thing plays out. Just sign already! So many other free agent/moves are pending based on his decision. Just get it done so other teams and players can work out their deals.
  17. Yeah, that’s the lowest of any projection. Here are Yelich’s projected slash line from the various projection systems (from highest to lowest OPS): Davenport - .284 / .384 / .551 = .935 OPS THE BAT X - .287 / .389 / .541 = .930 OPS THE BAT - .288 / .389 / .538 = .927 OPS ATC - .275 / .386 / .530 = .916 OPS Steamer - .274 / .382 / .520 = .902 OPS ZiPS - .273 / .379 / .523 = .902 OPS PECOTA - .266 / .375 / .499 = .874 OPS To my knowledge THE BAT X is the only projection system that incorporates Statcast data. I'm still holding onto some hope that Turner chooses the Crew. If that's the case, it will be interesting to see these numbers for Yelich with The Beerd protecting him in the clean-up spot.
  18. He doesn’t have enough pop.
  19. Can we just move on from any/all Anderson’s?
  20. Unless we are going to have Turner play 1b and either use Huira as the DH or trade.
  21. Okay, bear with me in this. I was just reading FanGraphs positional rankings from 2020 and they mentioned that prior to getting Mookie Betts, the Dodgers were thinking of moving Turner over to 1b as he has the ability “to play just about everywhere”. What if.... What if the plan is to get Turner to play 1B and there still is a trade in place with Huira to the Indians for Ramierez?!! Seriously... Wong Cain Yelich Ramirez Turner Garcia Narvaez Pitcher Arcia Wong Cain Yelich Ramirez Turner Braun-DH Garcia Narvaez Arcia A thing of beauty
  22. Maximizing Yelich’s tenure. Gotta like this. C’mon Crew, make this happen. With Cain back, our defense would be amazing. Better defense = happier players. Happier players = better offense. Yes Please!!!
  23. Yuck to both Hill and Brett Anderson. I feel that the guys that we have are just as good without having to spend any additional money. If we are going to get another pitcher, I would hope that it's a pitcher in a tier above Rich Hill.
  24. I’m not sure if it is the homer in me that is starting to get used to the idea of Keston at 1st or if it just reality sinking in that we don’t have any better options.
  25. SRB Let’s run with this and call it a day.
