  1. I think you would find something like that in a run expectancy table.
  2. I haven't been watching very closley, but with Randy Marsh behind the plate, we should have a small strikezone. http://www.hardballtimes.com/main/article/a-zone-of-their-own/
  3. I was waiting for a catcher injury on that one.
  4. I don't think Jordan ever made it to the majors.
  5. FSN just went to commercial again. One hitter into the inning. Nice to see that if you don't live in Milwaukee and the game is on WMLW you get the screw job.
  6. I was watching the game on FSN, but it just went to comercial in the middle of a pitch.
  7. The game is on FSN right now. Bad audio though.
  8. Looking at some of the things Hall does on the field leads me to believe that he might not listen to coaches very much. For starters his baserunning is terrible despite having good speed.
  9. If the infielders play at DP depth in that scenario the Marlins drop a bunt and hopefully we get one out.
  10. I think any team that could afford to take on Suppan's contract would rather sink another $3-4M per year and get a top of the rotation starter.
  11. The Water City Grill is a good place to take your SO out to eat at. Nikko's has good Gyros. They are across the street from Molly McGwires. East end of campus.
  12. I am not sure that that dribbler Helms hit gets to Hardy or Hall fast enough to turn a double play. I think they can still get Helms at 1st, just not the runner at 2B.
  13. I agree with FTJ. Even taking out the game when Gagné pitched for a 4th day in a row, he has looked like he is going to give up baserunners. I thought I remembered Kolb giving up hits and BB alot.
  14. Why do our chances to win drop dramatically every time Wes Helms takes the field at Miller Park? Happened when he played for us, happens now.
  15. Kind of reminds me of the Reds/Brewers game that got picked up by ESPN a couple years back. ESPN kept promoting it as a big offensive game because the Reds and Brewers were 1 and 2 in HR. I think it ended up being a 2-1 game. Villanueva's 1st start I believe.
  16. Wes Helms is going to beat us, I just know it. I hate that guy.
  17. I know, but it sounded better than "Alex Eisenberg thinks Gallardo should be an all-star."
  18. I also said that anything more than 4 years is a mistake.
  19. Duh, yes.(Need a smile smacking forhead.) What was I thinking? To early in the day.
  20. I actually think it makes less sense the further we get into the contract. Our good players were, and are, young and cheap. Going forward the next 2 years is when Suppan's contract really starts to get expensive and also is about the same time our young players are going to start getting expensive.
  21. We paid 4-5 times what we would have paid a comparable young player. He is not a top of the rotation starter. He is rotation filler.
  22. I think signing Suppan is relavant. He said he thought Mark A would do anything even if it didn't make sense. You asked what he based that off of. I thought signing Suppan is a good example of Mark A wanting something done that didn't make sense. Much like signing players to longer than 4 years or signing player to contracts that don't buy out FA years. Longer than 4 years can lead to franchise crippling contracts. Not buying out FA years gains nothing. This means you shouldn't deal with players until they are in at least their 1st arby year(maybe 2nd with Braun, depends on super 2 status). Like it or not we have a limited budget. I like all our young players, but I really cheer for laundry. I don't like the Brewers because Fielder plays for them, I like Fielder because he plays for the Brewers. I am a Brewer fan and I want what is best for the team, long and short term. I will enjoy the players while we have them and wish them well when we trade them for younger cheaper players or when they leave for market value.
  23. Homer is on everyday at 3:00.(100.5FM/Madison, 540AM/Milwaukee) Has to be one of my favorite radio hosts. He just happened to be coming on at the end of the gameyesterday. He hated the pitcher 8th and said so, but instead of just writing it off took the time to actually educate himself and changed his opinion. He has read "The Book" and actually tried to defend batting the pitcher 9th earlier in the year while talking with Tom Oats and Jeff Potrykus.
  24. To sum up, he is good. http://www.hardballtimes.com/main/article/the-future-of-yovani-gallardo/
