  1. I'm a fan of hockey, I think it's a great game to watch and wish I would've played it sometime when I had the chance when I was a little younger. I'll admit, I love seeing a good fight at a hockey game. However, I can also see other peoples' points of view. It is the only professional sport that basically allows assault on its playing field. I understand it's somewhat a part of the game's history and culture maybe and I fully respect standing up for your teammates after a cheap shot along the boards, but at the same time in today's society it's surprising that the fighting is allowed to go on as much as it does, often resulting in only a two or five minute penalty. Take a look at the "fight" between the Knicks and Nuggets last year, and the significant penalties those players drew for an incident that was roughly equivalent to the fighting that goes on in hockey on a relatively daily basis. It's just something that's interesting to think about and debate.
  2. Who else would you suggest? He's won 12 games each of the last two years and has an ERA of around 5.00. Not exactly a terrific number for a number three in the rotation, but not terrible either, and other than swapping him and Villanueva, there aren't too many other options for now. He's reliable too, making 30+ starts both of the last two years. I don't see why he wouldn't have a starting spot.
  3. This sucks. Cappy is one of my favorite Brewers. It's really unfortunate though that he are without his services at all, whether or not he would have made the rotation or not. That and of course the trade value is completely gone as well. Wish him the best in getting back.
  4. No, those are skin tight. He's been working on the thighs. But seriously, you're right, those are way too baggy. Hardy and Braun are at about the max for what I would say looks reasonable.
  5. I just thought I'd add in a few things that came to mind after my first post... I'm sure he's going to be the 'butt' of a few jokes around the clubhouse and on signs in the stands. Hopefully he doesn't get too much 'crap' from his teammates though.
  6. Awesome that you're doing this again Pedro. We all appreciate it, even if we don't win. If you do decide to do drawings, I'd love to be in on the '05 Sheets bobblehead.
  7. Really good game today, and this homestand has been awesome. I really think the refs got it wrong on O'Reilly's goal in the 1st, but oh well. I'll take a 5-2 win anyday. Especially with one of those goals coming on a 6 on 3.
  8. The way they put it in parenthesis makes it look like a nickname or something. Poor guy.
  9. What the heck. I'll take a shot. Thanks Pedro.
  10. I'll add in that I think they're clever shirts too, I'll probably get one or two.
  11. The suspense is killing me. I want to know. If it's Gobias' suggestion of Erin Andrews, it'd be more than legendary.
  12. Same here cc, I always try to fix it as I import CD's though, so it doesn't seem like as much of a hassle doing it as I go along.
  13. Reminder to anyone that joined my Yahoo league, draft tonight at 5:30, hope you all make it.
  14. That's fine though. EA doesn't need to improve its baseball game...Just take MVP 2005 and give me new, updated rosters and I'm set.
  15. I wonder who is favorite Little Rascal is.
  16. He was my waiter one year at the safe at home picnic for the CAPP (?) fund.
  17. How long ago did you work there?
  18. Well barring any objections from the majority, I think we're set for our draft on Sunday March 9th, 5:30pm.
  19. I always thought it was because of where they were hitting home runs to also...but it turns out it's because of the position they played. Vaughn's Valley, Vaughn in left field; El Caballo's Corner, Lee in left field; Jenkins' Jungle in left, then right, then left...although other than Jenkins' Jungle being in left field it did actually work out that that's where they hit there HR's too...
  20. I'd love to have the job of just driving one of those cars around.
  21. I was going to say something about the Brewers socks too. Cute.
  22. That's a problem I've had before too, but I guess I'm going to hope that no one is going to play it that way.
  23. I'll also be looking for one. More than happy to pay shipping.
  24. We have 9 teams so far, could use atleast one more to make it an even 10. Go to join a custom league on Yahoo... League ID: 102277 Password: brewerfan
