  1. I'm not going to watch this half inning, so we are sure to score at least 3 runs! You are welcome!
  2. Not digging Woodruff's pitch count...
  3. Read your own comments in that game thread. Even you, a company man, thought is was a stupid decision. No need to continue this discussion, I'm out. Hope that helps.
  4. No they were not down to their last reliever. Milner came in and pitched after the Chafin meltdown. I understand the bigger picture thing, you don't need to continue talking down to me. I realize what the plan was for Milner's usage that game, however, plans need to change when the situation is warranted. Using Chafin in that situation was a mistake. Everyone knew it, every poster in the game thread knew it, but it happened anyway. Hope that helps.
  5. There was no circumstance that Chafin should have been used in that situation, none. Doesn't matter if Milner was an emergency option, in fact, it was an emergency, so Milner should have been used. Everyone knew it, literally everyone, that using Chafin in that situation was a giant mistake. Hope that helps.
  6. Refresh my memory, who came in and pitched after Chafin? Must have been our 9th man?
  7. Except, Chafin was used in the opposite of low leverage not too long ago, with disasterous results.
  8. Resting is fine as long as it doesn't take our hot guys and make them unhot.
  9. Who would have guessed that outfield on opening day?
  10. The cost of EVERYTHING is bugging me. It's out of control.
  11. I'm not sure how many people are seeing your poll, and or voting in it. I rarely check this page, so I'm sure a lot of others don't know it's here.
  12. Hit him 9th... I'm not really kidding.
  13. This team is gellin' like a felon at the moment! We need to keep playing the hot hands! No more TT benching as long as he remains this hot!
  14. I think Canha may have been a good pick up...
  15. I completely understand why Counsell "wanted" him to finish the 6th, but it just wasn't going to happen. Frustrating.
  16. Geez CC. Seriously, read your guys.
  17. Was really hoping Corbin would make it to the 7th...
  18. I also wonder about Santana, especially if they let Rowdy go...Which should be the case. Wouldn't be the worst thing to have these two (Canha and Santana) back next year unless they have their sights set on something bigger. I mean, we have nothing in the pipe at 1B, unless Yelich is going to move there.
  19. One thing we need to emphasize, Wiemer was never in their plans to start the season with the Brewers. He was only here due to necessity, and the sad thing is, we ended up needing him most of the season. I am certainly not faulting him for anything, fact of the matter is, he probably could have used another year in the minors, but that just isn't what happened. I really hope he starts the year in AAA next year, gets some things figured out with his swing, and can help us out in the second half.
  20. WOW! Burnes hasn't protested? To be honest, I don't like this at all. Burnes is really comfy with Caratini, why mess with that unless Caratini is ailing in same way. Hopefully Corbin doesn't let this get in his head and effect his performance tonight.
  21. No Yelich. Wonder if what CC said last night about his health wasn't exactly true? He said he was only planning to play him a few innings and there was nothing to report on his injury. Now he is out of the line-up again?
  22. If you never DFA players, and you have guys sitting in AAA that are better, you can't improve the team as it sits currently. We are about to embark on the playoffs, this isn't a time to remain loyal to players that are not helping you, in any way at all. Just because we traded for Chafin doesn't mean we should continue to roll him out there. He is just plain bad, and has cost us games. I know Rowdy is a fan favorite (or was) but outside of the sac fly he provided us recently, what has he done before his injury, and more importantly, after his return. The guy is plain dead weight. Anderson is an entire different animal. He is obviously in CC's doghouse, and if we aren't going to use him in situations that warrant it, then why have him on the roster at all. There are justifications for standing pat, and there are justifications for making moves. We need to do what is best for the team in a playoff push. End of story.
  23. Some of those moves are 100% past due. Also, yes your stats are impressive (26-14 clip since August 1st and currently have their biggest division lead of the season at 5.5 games.) but accepting that, and not trying to improve on it makes no sense. There is always room for improvement. Maybe had they given up on Rowdy/Anderson/Chafin etc that record could be 28-12 with a 7 game lead. We can't just rest on stats because that is good enough, when with a few tweaks, we could be even better.
