Ok, just so I get the picture in my mind correct. You grabbed your gun, then pointed it at the guy because it had a light? Were you a little concerned that pointing a gun at someone, even if for the light, might create a problem? Also, why does your gun have a light on it? The situation you describe is bad enough, but a lot of things could have gone wrong once you pick up a gun and start pointing it at the drunk/high dude. lol So many things...

2024 is gone, when he comes back in 2025, is there even a remote chance he is effective? I can see 2025 being a lost year as well. Low innings, babying that injured shoulder, in hopes that 2026 he can be 100% back in business. As much as I hate to say it, 2024 and 2025 seem like lost years, so why put that kind of money into the guy. I'd let him rehab with us in 2024 because he has earned it, but putting millions upon millions of dollars into a guy that probably won't help us for another 2 years seems foolish to me, unless he really takes a big hometown discount.

So you are saying that the Brewers offense was pretty good this year and better than the Braves and Dodgers? You go right ahead and be content with the offense we continue to put on the field year in and year out, good for you, finding the positive in things even though it makes no sense to post such a comment.

Orioles are stacked with future bats and I'd still love to get Rodriguez, but I think that ship has sailed. They desperately need an ACE! Would love it if we could work something out with them or the Dodgers.

I really feel like we either extend or trade Adames this off season. I don't think we trade a guy like him at the deadline unless we are REALLY out of it. I mean REALLY out of it... Like Underachiever said above, I think the team would not react very well if we trade him at the deadline like we did with Hader, especially if we are still in the playoff hunt.

Well, since you are stating it's pretty rare that guys with full NTC get traded, do you have stats to back that up, or are you just throwing out comments to back up your stance? You may very well be right, but without any evidence, we don't know. How can you say that his contract isn't preventing them from anything? Dude is getting paid what, 1/4 or 1/5 of our entire payroll. You don't think that freeing up 26 million per year for the next 5 years isn't going to allow them to use that money on other players? It doesn't matter if he is our only long term commitment or not. 26 million per year for a so called small market strapped team makes all the difference in the world. It feels like you are just arguing for arguments sake on this one. There is tremendous incentive to trade him, probably not going to happen, but saying there is no incentive is just plain having blinders on.

Seems to me like you are just trying to bury the issue by moving these posts here, hoping no one sees them perhaps? Makes no sense to hide those posts here, in a forum no one ever reads, or wait, maybe that is the reason after all? C'mon man, the guy gave you a thumbs down, did it bother you that much?

Why would we not tender Toro at 1.3 million? Seriously, why? It's an honest question. Cheap depth. Rowdy and Lauer are goners.

No incentive to trade him? How about getting out from under a contract of 150 million dollars (or whatever it is) for the next 5 years, and in turn, using that money to sign other players? Both sides have a point, but zero incentive to trade him is not one of those points. And yes, it is a bad contract. Not a chance in hell that contract looks good at the end. The dude can break at anytime and become a complete albatross. How close are we to a 90-100 game per season guy, hitting .230 with 10 homers? Is that worth $26 million a year? His arm is toast, but I'm not even going to get into his defensive liability. People keep saying just move him to 1B. Is that even feasible? If we got the 2023 Yelich for the next five years, then I'd say we are fine, but we all know that isn't going to happen, probably not even close.

I mean, if this is now a rule, I think we all need to be informed that you are no longer allowed to click the thumbs down without a full explanation as to why. Or does it only apply if we click the thumbs down on a mods post? 😀🤪😡

Arnold will make it known that Burnes is available for the right price, that you can be sure of. If no one bites, we keep him and look for another deal at the deadline, or we just hang on and cash in on the draft compensation. It's all we can do at this point, but all it takes is for one team to offer up a deal we can't refuse, and hopefully, we add some more building blocks.

I am hoping that we sign Santana to a one year deal, unless of course, they have a bigger bat in mind via trade. Santana is heads and shoulders better than anything else we have thrown at 1B. I'm done with Rowdy.

I'd take that bet. As Brewers fans, we are sour on him at the moment. Other teams would love to have him, he was a Cy Young winner only a couple years ago. He's relatively young, and the talent is there. There is going to be a team (Dodgers, Mets, Padres) that thinks they can bring the Cy Young back into his game, and they are probably right. I don't think we are going to get the massive haul that we all thought we were going to get a year ago, but I still expect a decent haul, probably a top 30 or better, and some other pieces. If not, and the Brewers decide to hang onto him, so be it. I don't want to give him away. That can always be revaluated at next year's deadline.
