  1. Not necessarily. Depends on the years involved with Garcia. Ray, maybe so, but Lutz is still a ways away, so signing Garcia should have no impact on Lutz's future with the Brewers. I really want to hang onto Lutz, but Ray can go anytime as far as I'm concerned.
  2. If given the choice, and we could sign one, which would you rather drop that kind of cash on?
  3. Since we have the money, and Braun coming off the books next season, we could do that deal if we wanted. Question is, would Josh be willing to do that, and join a small market club as opposed to joining a big name team? My guess is that if a larger market team comes close to that offer, he goes with that team over us. I'd love to see the offers he has gotten to this point.
  4. I don't see us doing 4 years, but would a 2 year 30 million per season get it done? Probably not since someone will step up and do the 4 years 100 million, it just won't be us. It would be so nice to put another proven big bat in the line-up, but it doesn't look like that is going to happen on the FA side of things.
  5. The same Zack Brown that was left unprotected in Rule 5, and not one team took him for free?
  6. Clancy has now taken an advisor role for the Reds.
  7. It's either that or the opposite view: Every move Stearns makes is stupid. Not much middle ground here, and certain posters provide the extreme for both sides...
  8. I hope this just goes away. I'd rather have Thames.
  9. I’m with you on that. He needs to go. Sorry, but what do you expect out of a lawyer as commissioner? He’s going to twist the truth, use threatening tactics, find any way he can to discredit the other party, and use intimidation and coercion to get exactly what he wants instead of actually doing any type of real bargaining. He sounds a lot like a politician.
  10. The Brewers are deep into negotiations with free agent outfielder Avisail Garcia. The two sides were reportedly close to a deal on Friday evening but they have not yet been able to reach agreement on a contract. The Rays and Marlins are also interested in the 28-year-old. Garcia slashed .282/.332/.464 with a career-high 20 homers, 72 RBI and 10 stolen bases in 125 games for the Rays in 2019. He played mostly right field for the Rays this year but would likely move to left field if he joins the Brewers, with Ryan Braun moving to first base. 11. ^Or this^ Wouldn't Hiura being a dh negate most of his value? His bat isn't nearly as special if he's not at 2nd. How can you possibly know what his bat will be like in 2021? If he is as good of a hitter as most think he is, DH will be perfect for him if his defense doesn't improve.
  12. ^Or this^
  13. 13-9 with a 3.89 ERA in the AL West last year, so far from it actually. Keep up the unsubstantiated hot takes, though There are a lot of negative comments, however, the constant "everything is great" comments can be a bore too. Giving lectures on how people should feel is also pretty old here...
  14. wow, you guys are a buzzkill...
  15. Which absolutely positively effects his defense. Bad jumps on balls is what makes or breaks an outfielder imo.
  16. I agree. Is he a good second piece? Yes. How about something like this - a three-team deal between the Brewers, Mets, and Yankees: https://www.baseballtradevalues.com/trades/trade-18455/ Brewers get: IF McNeil IF Lowrie 3B/1B Andujar Yankees get: OF Lutz 1B J.D. Davis Mets get: LHP Hader OF Cabello Ummmm, the Yankees want Hader, that is who they are after. You think they are going to do a 3 way deal involving the Mets and not come away with Hader? ok then.
  17. Disturbing? Really? Ummm, isn't that what fandom is all about? I guess, in your perfect world we would all be robot fans, incapable of caring or becoming emotional about the team we all love.
  18. If Im Stearns and they tell me that a prospect is untouchable in a Hader trade i hang up the phone. Best reliever in the game. Pony up or gfy yup, agreed.
  19. All y'all is the plural of y'all. C'mon now. I hate y'all. If a Southerner uses it, a real Southerner, it doesn't bother me. If someone I work with that is born and raised in WI uses it, I want to start punching. Anyone who uses that term and isn't from below the Mason-Dixon line really needs to stop, just stop.
  20. I have nothing to say about this other than...………….I'm glad I am not you. lol
  21. An under-rated show that I never see re-runs of, or hear anyone talk about is Rules of Engagement. Absolutely love the first 4 seasons of that show. Never been a big David Spade fan, but his character is just hilarious in a Charlie Sheen 2 1/2 men kind of way. Every one of the 6 main characters are perfect for the parts they play, and I LOL 2 or 3 times every single episode.
  22. Lots of people ate their words when Miley and Lyles worked out. I don't think we have many here who don't admit when they are wrong.
  23. In all honesty, that won't get it done. At this point, it might be better to trade him either now, or next season. Just can't see us handing out a 245 million contract...………………………………………………..EVER!
  24. Just wonder where all that money that the Brewers cleared off the books this season will end up... I had myself talked into either Strasburg or Rendon. Stupid self.
