  1. In the case of Frelick and Mitchell, it's about having an extra year of control.
  2. John Heyman reported that the Brewers made a push for Bell (WAS had to include him to get the prospects they wanted from SD), and Joc Pederson (Giants decided not to sell), and inquired about Gallo and Drury.
  3. I'm laying action on McCutchen not coming back, Yelich the primary DH, and one or more of Ruiz/Frelick/Mitchell breaking camp.
  4. With 2 outs and RISP, Urias has a .368 OPS-A. The Brewers aren't the only team that have left runners on base against Urias.
  5. Urias is one of the best pitchers in baseball and people are expecting the Brewers to light him up.
  6. 20 pitches for Urias this inning without recording an out.
  7. One of my close friends had hip replacement almost a year ago. Not sure if it was the same thing, but he was 48 years old then. He was in a fair amount of pain before that and walking with a cane. He had the surgery first thing in the morning and was up walking in the afternoon. He had some "discomfort" when doing certain things, but no real pain. Feels a lot better now - only a little discomfort when doing certain specific things, but can jog with no pain and doesn't need a cane. You'll be very glad you had it done.
  8. I just thought of something - wrap some heavy-duty aluminum foil over the knob. Take it off when you need to use your key, and then put it back on. It should keep the rain/sleet/snow out of the keyhole and the frost should accumulate on the foil, not the knob.
  9. I don't believe that they were ahead in the 9th/late in any of their games that they've lost, so Hader likely would not have been in. Maybe the walk-off in PIT, but they never pitch him in the 8th.
  10. The Cardinals have such a lack of confidence in their bullpen that they're going to Helsley with a four run lead.
  11. When others play the Twitter videos, do they pause and try to load after about five seconds? Seems to always do that for me.
  12. On Gasser: One team source described the FC/SL pairing as the best left-handed FC/SL they’ve ever seen. I don’t know if I’d go near that far, but they do play remarkably well off of each other and as he increases the cutter velocity, it could be the pair that causes him to sit near the front of a rotation. They chose Robert Gasser because they know he has incredibly high upside in their system. He’ll probably start off slow with his new team, but he’s going to make his name known by everyone in 2023 when he shoots up prospects lists around the league.
  13. Mitchell 3-3 so far. Wiemer with two hits and a walk. Erceg with perhaps his best outing of his career.
  14. Delmarva is 36-70 for a reason, so maybe we should temper the enthusiasm just a bit... ?
  15. I think it's absolutely hilarious that they've shown several people drinking Summer Shandy in Busch Stadium.
  16. I'm guessing that the magnet would freeze to the knob as well.
  17. It sucks that there are losers out there who deliberately choose to take advantage of other people. I've been dealing with one of those for the last 3.5 years, not quite to the scale of what you've been through, but the stress is real. I had to deal with over six months of stress literally hanging over my head wondering whether my roof/ceiling would collapse, then being unable to use my kitchen/living room for two months, and then the other owners of the building refusing to pay for part of the repairs to the building. Now I'm dealing with another loser trying to steal my parking space. I'm worried about the physical effect of the stress that he went through and what that has done to his longevity.
  18. It's probably not reality, but it just seems like whenever they play against a LH starter he is able to paint the edge (or just off of the edge) of the zone all night. Tonight they're just not getting pitches to hit.
  19. No need to throw strikes when you're getting them outside of the zone inside, outside, and high. I don't think he's thrown more than a half-dozen pitches over the middle half of the plate.
  20. This competition amongst pitchers to catch pop-ups needs to stop.
